Dollar Mini Vans

I have a reservaton at Dollar for 10 days in August, and the total is 286.79. There are 4 Adults and 3 children(5,8,10). I was curious as to what minivans are available at Dollar. The website says Caravan or similar. Are these Grand Caravans, or regular Caravans? I also have a reservaton through Alamo which states that the van is a Sienna. This is what I am currently driving, and I know that it will have enough space, but the cost is 360.00. I would like to save the 80 dollars, but I do not know if I will have enough space in the Dollar van. Any help will be appreciated.

I rented from the them in January, and I got a Pontiac Montana SV6. It was the extended van, sat 7, and even had a DVD player. I did see that they had mostly grand caravans.

last trip we got a minivan from dollar, it was a regular caravan and seated seven. It was very nice with plenty of room. I already made reservations for another minivan for our DEC. trip.

Rented from Dollar in April and got a REGULAR sized Caravan. At the counter, they asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a Grand Caravan for $10 day extra. There was never an option to choose when booking online. Be careful, this seems a little shifty!

Yep, we're never booking a minivan from Dollar again because of a similar experience. In our case, she said, we and our luggage were not gonna fit into a regular Caravan and we "had" to pay to upgrade to a Grand Caravan. We refused and asked to see a manager, she laughed at us, refused and told us she'd "upgrade" us for free to a Magnum (station wagon, supposedly a premium). That worked for us, but the attitude did not. Didn't help that I counted at least 20 Town and Countries or Grand Caravans in their lot.

We've rented twice with Alamo and never saw a Sienna. We've gotten T&C both times - no prob fitting.
