I have a reservation with Dollar next week with the lock low and go rate. Can anyone speak from experience what type of vehicle they actually got? I'd like larger than a compact since I'll have a little one in a car seat and would like more room for him (he is still rear facing.

TIA

We reserved a Lock Low and Go car in February and received a Chrysler 200. My name was on the board when I arrived at the Dollar Express kiosk in the garage with "see agent". The agent came out of the booth and walked me down a row of cars immediately to the right of the booth. I had been told I could pick from a small selection of cars but the agent hinted that the 200 was fairly new and sure enough, it had less than 400 miles on the clock.

I wouldn't recommend the Lock Low and Go category if you wouldn't be happy with a compact car. A lot of times, the price is actually more than a compact with only the chance at something larger. I always accept that I might get an upgrade but don't count on it.

Thanks for the info. I have since found a cheaper rate for a midsize car with thrifty and have canceled this one.
