Dollar Deals

I was at Michaels yesterday, they had a TON of Disney things for a dollar, let me see if I can recall most of it
Princess, HSM, Hannah Montana-lanyards, pencils, markers, fuzzy coloring boards, dry erase boards, puzzles, jewelry, notebook, diaries, pencil cases, trincket boxes, paddle ball, I'm probably missing some
For the boys they had, pencils, markers, puzzles, paddle ball, fuzzy coloring boards- these were in a variety of characters, but mostly non-disney
They also had notebook, pads of paper, sticky notes and luggage tags with just an initial, which worked well for getting my boys a couple things

not quite a dollar deal...but close....at target in the toy section I got a light spinner (mickey mouse clubhouse for 3 bucks) My son is 18 months and loves pressing the button and watching it light up and spin. It will be great in the park at night!

thank you so much for this.. I am planning (or shall i say plotting :rotfl: ) a trip with 18 first timers either Aug or Sept. 6 of those will be kids and they dont know about it yet...and at this point I am more excited than anyone :yay: :yay: I am trying to make it extra special for the kids so this is perfect because its a lot of kids

Oh! I have wanted to buy one for DGS before our trip and didn't know where I could find one- thanks so much!

We've bought Mickey Mouse facecloths at Walmart, as well as various "Magic Towels" at Dollar Tree (Pooh, Mickey head, CARS, Tinkerbell, Cinderella)

I also found temporary tatoos in Walmart in the section where they have party goods for kids parties. They weren't $1, I forget how much but worth it for DGS.:) Also picked up some Mickey plates and cups there.

Since we are staying offsite, I broke down and bought some Mickey soaps on EBay- yup, those ones you get free when you stay in a Disney hotel. I'm doing all I can to make this special for DGS and the rest of the family!

Dollar Tree also had Mickey crayons, various puzzles and stickers. Their items change and vary so you have to check them often.

We do buy our ponchos there 2/$1.
I'll keep thinking....

Target had some Hannah montana sticky notes and a dry erase board, a nemo and princess bathtub book in the dollar bins!

How do you plan on giving these treats? Goody bags for ride to WDW, excitement boosters pre-trip? I thought about making up a small "treat bag" for each child for each day, sneaking it into the backpack, and then pulling them out in lines??? Also toyed with idea of leaving it on bed, so there was a surprise waiting... Trying to stave off the gimmies there!

At Dollar Tree I've gotten those slider puzzles (where you have to slide the square pieces to make the picture. I got Lightning McQueen ones for my two nephews (1 for each of them). I got "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" Disney style questions card game for my older nephew and older niece to play. I also got my niece HSM crayons.

At Target I got Buzz Lightyear Color in Art Sheet with 4 markers (2 of them).

On Clearance at a Michaels I got Fairies mechanical pencils and a HSM diary for my niece @ 50 cents each. Your local Michaels will vary in what they have. This was at the end of January, BTW.

I'm going to put these in either a non see thru gift bag or one of those velcro closure envelopes they sell at stores in the office/school supples section.

BTW, If anyone finds packs of retractable Disney Pens @ Dollar General or Family Dollar, post it here, cause I have both of those stores in town.

The trip isn't a surprise, but my special gift bags will be a surrprise.

I went to Dollar Tree yesterday and found the following items I hadn't seen previously:

HSM, HM, and Princess tiny notepads (pack of 4)
HSM, HM,Princess notepads (regular size)
Tinkerbell clings for windows
MM small frisbees (pack of 4)

All in all, lots of Disney stuff-great for treat bags!!!!

Great ideas. It'll be my dd's first trip at the end of Sept. and I want to make it extra special. I like the bag for each day idea.

Dollar Tree Deals

Disney coloring book
Three pack of Disney crayons
Princess/Mickey/Pooh magic towels
Princess stickers
Coloring fuzzy sheets with markers
Glow Sticks
Princess Figures/Pooh Figures
Princess Megaphone

I think that is all. I bought a place mat at Walmart with the US on it. I took the Mickey stickers and put a different sticker on different areas that we will stop on the way down. So that way when the kids ask if we are there yet. I can say we are at Pluto and Disney is where Mickey is.

Mariah:cheer2:

We found a bunch of stuff at the Family Dollar stores and Dollar General stores. We got diaries, stickers, tattoos, and disney glow sticks. Lot cheaper than buying it down there.

Just found some terrific "gelled" window clings at Target for $2.99! Little more expensive, but they look terrific! We got the Hannah Montana, HSM(Troy), and Camp Rock (but just Nick from JBROS!) !!! Our DD10 loves Nick and Troy!
I also found Mickey Mouse Clubhouse window clings at our local Dollar Tree this past week!
Please keep this thread going! A lot of people are finding great bargains-saving a lot of money by buying ahead of time instead of waiting to get to WDW! Good luck and happy shopping!!!!

Woohooo, very nice! I'm going Weds to get the kids lil toys and gifts for our trip!

This is for the moms, not the kids- Walmart has hooded sweatshirts (light ones) of Eeyore, chip and dale, Tink, and Mickey for $3.00 in the plus size section. Ours are still marked $11 but ring up $3, so this is an undercover deal for the disney folks out there!

Our Dollar Tree also had some nice disney stuff. Other than the MMCH clings, I also bought some cool mickey tatoos! Dollar Tree had lots of stuff.

In wallmart where all the party stuff is..they have Disney plates, napkins, paper/plastic cups, flags and decor etc...well they also have little mickey party favors and stickers that would go nice in your goody bags. I picked up some party bags (does as a goody bag), stickers and tatoos there for my 6yr old, I also got some cute disposable disney sippy cups, sticky disposable table mats and mickey bowl at the baby section for my 11 month old...all disney and sooo cute for our vacation.
Im going to go troll the dollar shops this week and will let you guys know if I find anything.:thumbsup2

Michaels has $1 Princess, Winnie the Pooh, and Princess stuff. I saw jump ropes, yoyos, paddleballs, pinwheels, coloring pages, and those slide toys where you move squares to make the picture.

Since we are staying offsite, I broke down and bought some Mickey soaps on EBay- yup, those ones you get free when you stay in a Disney hotel. I'm doing all I can to make this special for DGS and the rest of the family!

...
Was someone actually selling the disney soaps that you get free??? tell me it aint so!! can I ask what you payed for them?? wow...I have a shampoo and couple of soaps lying in a drawer somewhere but would never dream of selling them...i would probably buy them though...lol..but still..

Our "Deals" store has tons of glow necklaces, sticks, and bracelets for a dollar! They also had Cars and Tinkerbelle sand buckets and puzzles with Mickey, Tinkerbelle and Fairies, Princesses etc... They also had princess and Mickey window clings.:yay:

Walgreens has small light up spinners on a necklace in various Disney characters for $2.99! I thought these were great b/c #1 they were cheap and #2 the kids could wear them and I wouldn't have to carry them around nor would they just lay in the bottom of a bag or the stroller.:woohoo:

Yesterday I got 4 glitter hair gells for DIY BBB--Ariel red, Hannah Montana purple, HM gold & Aurora pink. The princess ones were $1, but the HM ones rang up for .70! Also a roll of princess stickers for a $1 for the car ride down. :goodvibes

Today at Target I picked up a bunch of Disney socks in the $1 section. They also had a bunch of Princess stickers/sticker books and other disney related ites but I bought so much crap already I didn't look closely at what they had.
