I just rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo or similar from Dollar for June 2 - June 12 picking it up at Tampa and dropping it off at Orlando. I received a rate of $325.00, is this considered a good rate? I keep seeing lower rates on these boards and I can't figure out how to get those lower rates. I really like the convenience of renting in airport so I know I'll typically pay more for an in terminal rental.

The other thing for which you may be paying more is to drop off the vehicle at an entirely different location. If you reserved online, go check your reservation - there should be a breakdown of the various taxes and fees. Another thing that may be keeping your rate high is the Jeep itself. May just be a higher rate.

Well, looks like the rate is high because of the SUV - cars are cheaper...

You could save about $45 by renting at Alamo but they're off-airport so wouldn't work for you.
