I thought I asked this on another thread but it got lost in the posts there. I currently have an Alamo reservation for next month but found a better rate with Dollar using the Kiss2 or OCVB codes. I can get an intermediate (like a Sebring) for $167.06 or a full-size (like a Charger) for $180.32. It will be me, DH & our DS who will be 10 on the trip.

Should I just go with the larger car? I'm wondering if intermediate will be 2 door vehicles and full-size are 4 doors--which is what we prefer? Anyone rented one of these lately & can help?

I know I've gotten a Dodge Stratus from Dollar as an intermediate car. I've always gotten 4 door cars, no matter which company I've rented from, when I've booked an intermediate. I think for 3 of you the intermediate is plenty roomy, unless you've packed everything but the kitchen sink!

Thanks for the quick help! I hate it when they show a 2 door car since you don't know for sure what you'll get! And we are used to EA and picking what we want so I didn't want to get stuck with a 2 door. My DS has a form of autism and hates climbing into spaces like that.

I'll just stick with the intermediate, a Stratus would be plenty of room, we don't pack a lot we just like to be comfy as we do plan on driving out & about each day or 2 & wanted enough room for us and guests if we drive together with another couple. Thanks again!

Just got back on the 15th, rented an intermediate car from Dollar with the Kiss code, and got the Stratus. The Sebring will be their intermediate car in 2007, according to some display ad at the counter.

We've had the stratus before, and it's perfectly fine for 4 adults or 2 adults/1 child. Trunk is plenty big, too (We had two large suitcases and a big carry one that fit without a problem.)
