Dollar Car Rental at MCO

I am renting from Dollar at MCO on our trip to Disney in September 2006. This is the first time I have used them. I have joined the Dollar Express Club. In reading some of the comments about Dollar and how they are so strict on the condition of the vehicle upon return and that you have to have the gas tank filled only a few miles from the airport or they will charge you for gas, I am starting to reconsider my choice. We always fill our tank up in WDW. Can anyone give me some of your experiences with Dollar at MCO and are my fears legitimate? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We just rented a minivan in feb 06 and are also Dollar Express members. This was our third time renting from dollar and we have had no problems. The only thing that happened on the last trip was my husband noticed a scratch on the van and had me look in our packet for a piece of paper detailing any damage. they had not given us one.(we got one the last times that we rented) He went to the parking garage booth and talked to an individual and that person gave us a note with his name and the problems and we presented that when we returned the car and were fine. The man my husband spoke too also was smart enough to check the roof(picked up car on day of Daytona 500) guess people like to get on the roof. There was damage up there and he noted it, said we probably saved ourselves a lot of money. So just make sure if you see any visable damage before you leave the lot that it is noted. We also fueled up before leaving disney and were not charged additional for gas. I don't know if that is something new or not. We have always been treated well and got clean vehicles at a good rate. I would rent from them again.

Thanks for your info...makes me feel better. I'll make sure we give the vehicle the once over before we leave the lot and we should be fine. Thanks again!

We have also rented from Dollar many times (the last time was last month) and have never encountered a problem with them. We also filled our tank at the WalMart gas station on the 535 before heading to the airport.
