Dollar car rental at MCO question.

Hi all...

Have just booked for a fullsize car through Dollar @MCO for Oct 8-22.

i've read some conflicting stories on whether Dollar let you choose your own car from the lot, Does anyone know if they assign a car to you or you get to choose your own, I know Alamo let us choose our own previously, but im not sure about Dollar.

Also wondering if anyone from the UK has signed up and used Dollar Express?

Dollar changed about 18 months ago, you now choose your own car usually but not always.
I have been an Express member for years, saved hours and hours of time but they sometimes allocate cars to Express members depending on the size you book, usually a regular full size car you will choose your own but last few trips I have booked Full size SUV or 7 seater minivan, these have been allocated due to lack of availabilty on the days we arrived.

I find Alamo & Dollar very similar, not a lot to choose between the 2, I would always pick the cheapest.

Any ideas what kind of cars they have in each category? I've had a little search without much luck.

We have a compact hooked which has always been great but next time we will have an 8 month old so will have more luggage and need to hire a car seat too...

When we went to Atlanta last year we used Dollar and the choice of Fullsize car were,Dodge Charger and Ford Taurus.Plus on a few sites they are saying you can have a Chevrolet Impala and Nissan Altima.The Ford Taurus is a lovely car very spacious and loads of room for for luggage.
Luckily enough whoever we've used in the past we've been able to pick our car from the lot,but every trip we panic and worry we'll get handed an awful car with the most mileage.

Never had a good car from Budget, 3 average and one which should have been scrapped plus I had to fight for free upgrades each time, they were offered when booking but they were very reluctent to give them on collection.

We signed up for Dollar Express a couple of years ago, brilliant, straight out to the garage, really quick service.

This year we asked the lady in the kiosk for a Chevvy Traverse, she took us to the parking bays and told us to take our pick, there were five to choose from
