I was wondering if it was worth getting some now or will it just get even better? :confused3

I think it's worth it now, last year I was happy with $1.75 !

I am considering getting some and we don't go till next Easter, I tend to accumulate over a long period of time and fortunatley we already have $2000.

Is this rate the same in store as online?

Claire ;)

M & S similar rate - do we wait or buy?? Will have to wait until at least the end of this weekend when DH gets paid for a building job:thumbsup2

Got $500 for $1.947 at Tesco when out shopping earlier :)

Claire ;)

~blonde moment alert~ Possibly a silly question but... :rolleyes1

Can you buy currency in all Tesco stores or just certain ones?

Ta,
Kxx

I would think all the Tesco Extra stores have a currency exchange kiosk.

went onto tescos online store to find out about the great rate, they actuall use travelex as there supplier, so its the same rate as them, still exelent rate, not going till last week june ,but got myself my spends today, thanx for the info.

I got 1.95 at a place called CashCovertors, its the shop same brand of shop as featured on Skint where all the drug addicts, gamblers etc go to pawn stuff to get a few quid to eat, they were the best rate on my local high street today, a scruffy guy in the shop was watching me change my cash, by the look on his face I dont think he had seen £1500 before, when I left the shop I ran like hell for fear of been mugged, but worth it for the extra 1 cent to the pound :rotfl:

I am looking to take advantage of the good Dollar, seen a rate online 1.95 at Crown Currency Exhange - Has anyone used them as I have not heard of them before.

Crown Exchange also offering $1.95. We've got $1.97 with them in advance.

Castanea,

How does that work buying in advance, do you pay now & receive travellers cheques later? not sure i'd like that paying upfront & nothing to show. We're not going until next year & they seem to be offering over $2. What's the catch, if any?

the paying upfront is the catch really, they get interest on your money you get a guaranteed rate :thumbsup2
we ordered with them last week and got $2 for september :woohoo: you can get cash or travellers cheques i think:)

i ordered mine from tescos on thursday, received them this morning (sat), dollars and cheques, you sign the cheques as normal if you were buying at travel agent etc., only catch is the buy back option just runs for 31 days from purchase, as not going till late june i missed out on that, but dont intend to bring any back anyways  , read somewhere that it could go as high as $2.05 in the near future, but im happy with 1.94.:cool1:
