DoleWhip or DoleWhip Float???

I am going to try my first ever dole whip very soon. Not sure which one I want to try. I really like pineapple juice...which would you recommend or do you prefer?

I recommend the straight pineapple juice. DH and I have an ongoing debate about this one. He likes the soft serve "because it's not too pineappley." I don't care for it "because it's not pineappley enough." If you're a big pineapple flavor fan I would go for the juice and maybe a pineapple spear. It's the best pineapple bang for your buck, IMO.

I would stick with the dole whip. It is sooooo pineappley(not a word I know) by itself. I personally didn't love it...didn't hate it...but definately did not love it. On the other hand my 5 year old(at the time) ate all of it.

I love, love, love dole whips! But i love everything pinapple! MY DH always gets a dole whip float and I always get just the dole whip. I do not like floats of any kind. But the dole whips are soooo good if you like pinapple you need to try them at least once.

I love the Dole Whip. I've been intrigued by the float, but it just seems so much bigger...the whip is more than enough for me.

After years of seeing the ridiculously long line for this, my friend and I finally decided to try it out. Once was enough for both of us, think we both got the Dole whip and it was just too sweet and a little gross.

Not sure what they're called, I thought maybe Missile Pops but grocery stores sell these long frozen Popsicle that are red and yellow = cherry & pineapple flavor. If you know what I'm talking about, imagine letting the Popsicle melt in a cup, then drinking it, the consistency is different but that's what the Dole whip tasted like to us.

I like Pineapple juice too, so maybe one day when we are in need of a bad sugar fix we will give the float a try.

I'm a Dole Whip person. Love them, my DH tried the float, but he loves any kind of float.

Had the Dole Whip. It was gross. Threw out half of it. Never again.

And this is coming from someone who chops up a fresh pineapple at least 1x per week! The Dole Whip was too sweet-cloying..something...I don't know. We stick to the chilled pineapple spears instead.

But if you can make it to the ice cream shop on Paradise Pier, the Rootbeer floats are AMAZING.

I personally don't care for either, DH likes the dole whip.

Personally we like the Dole Whip better than the Float. Problem with the float is that the pineapple juice isn't chilled so it melts the Whip too fast (IMHO). This can really be an issue on warm/hot days.

Those Root Beer Floats are my world in the summertime at DLR. That soft serve is definitely the best soft serve I've EVER had.

I love them both. No trip to DL or the MK is complete without either one. I get the float if I'm particularly thirsty, but if I'm not I just get the Dole Whip. I can't get enough of them!

And the kids really don't like either so it means there' more for me!

I must concur. The soft serve is very, very bland.

I do recommend sneaking one of those airline bottles of rum into the park to enhance the pineappleness of the juice.

I'm going to get a float next time. We had the dole whip last time and it wasn't quite pineapply enough for me so I thought the juice would help with that. I'm just not too sure if ice cream and juice go well together.
My 3 year old liked it
