Dole whips?

You really thought the ingredients would be good for you? It is old school amusement park food it has been around forever. I don't know why those nasty sounding ingredients work but they do taste good on a hot day.

Pinapple dole whip at $2.79 is straight dole whip, Dole whip float is the same stuff floating on pineapple juice... I personally don't like the float because the juice is much more tart than the whip and they just don't seem to mesh well for me... but I have heard others like them and extra $1.90 for a little juice and the plain dole whip sounds even better to me.

We got a float last year and the juice wasn't even cold!!! It was really nasty.

After reading the ingredient list I'm not sure why these things are so popular. You might as well drink pineapple juice. None of the other stuff they add in improves it at all.

If you just like pineapple juice....Dole whips are more pineapple soft serve ice cream.

I've had Dole Whips at WDW and have never had them "swirled", just straight up pineapple whip, and it tastes the same as the DL ones. The stand at WDW does have different flavors besides pineapple (vanilla, chocolate, orange) but having two flavors swirled together is an option, not a requirement.

I would love to have a chocolate only swirl, or chocolate frozen yogurt. And of course, chocolate ice cream. I will have to suggest that to Disney.

I didn't mean to infer it was a "requirement," but it is a better tasting option to me. When we got to DL and the only option was just pineapple, I was a bit surprised. I don't recall ever seeing a "chocolate" option at the Aloha Isle. Here is the menu from WDW:

Chocolate soft serve is available at Aloha Isle. I don't know why it doesn't show up on their online menu, but I definitely remember seeing it. If you Google "Aloha Isle chocolate" you will get many results mentioning the chocolate option, including the DIS.

Me and DH had floats and DD had just Dole Whip, she liked having vanilla at WDW.
we didn't know that there was another(shorter) line on the other side until after we waited 1/2hr. This was our first night so we didn't know.
2 floats and 1 whip - $14
eating them while watching fireworks - priceless

I have had both the Dole whip float (DL) and the Dole Whip (WDW). I prefer the Dole Whip at WDW...its more of a swirl like soft ice-cream... they are both located at the Tiki room attraction. I agree that the line inside the gate entrance to the attraction is less crowded.

I've noticed that the line inside the gate entrance is shorter but when I was in the inside line earlier this month they were training someone new and I heard the trainer basically tell the trainee that the ppl in the inside line ppl are more patient cause they're waiting anyway for the show so help one of them for every 2 outside line ppl. unless there are three people working. So i'm not sure about it being quicker anymore.
