TODAY we kick off the 10th Anniversary of the DIS Unplugged!!

Any and all are welcome. Come meet your fellow DIS'ers!!


We will have some beach balls for the kids (and adults) to toss around , bubbles to blow, and green glo necklaces/bracelets as well (thanks @TheMaxRebo). Donations will be accepted.

I will have a balloon tied to my bag so you will know where to find us!


Bring your snack, drink, Dole Whip, whatever and join us! 8:30 start time for 9:00 pm Magic Kingdom Fireworks!!

I'm pretty sure Disney's working on ways to make it a hard ticketed event as we speak.

99.99 for three hours no humidity in the magic kingdom...its probably worth it actually.

Haha, I can just picture a giant done over the park where you can see in at all the special people enjoying the park in perfect weather conditions and then the dome is lifted off to let the commoners in - along with the humidity

ETA: Actually, I wouldn't want it for MK. That's the best park in bad weather (rain, heat). I'd prefer it for AK or Epcot where you're outside a lot more. There's hardly any relief from the elements in Animal Kingdom (as we were reminded yesterday).

Don't laugh too hard - I'd heard strong rumors in the past that some sort of "domed environment" wasn't too far off Disney's radar. (EVERY pun intended). Don't know how far it got past the "blue sky" (punny, ain't I?)( planning stage though, extremely cost prohibitive, obviously.
