Dole whips....at home?

Hello all,
I just thought I would share something completely awesome. I have been trying to find a recipe for dole whips and they all included cream or milk. We all know the Dole Whips at DL are dairy free. So my husband found the mix they actually use in DL and bought some. We used our ice cream maker and I am now enjoying a dole whip in my living room. Granted, I still would rather be eating it in DL, it is not a bad substitute.

Costs about $20 and makes about 2 gallons. He did the conversion and it makes 8 batches in a 2 quart ice cream maker.

OMG this is awesome! I just ordered a bunch of the flavors! The receipe calls for a soft serve machine...how did you use it in your ice cream maker? I don't have an ice cream maker....YET!

I'm taking the easy way out. Our local frozen yogurt place has Pineapple and it tastes like Dole Whips. I make the kids sing the Tiki Room song as we eat.

I just put it in there for 30 minutes and in the freezer over night. It doesn't have the same exact texture of the dole whip but it is close enough to count.
