What exactly is in a dole whip other than pineapple? Where is it sold?

Dole Whip is a much beloved soft serve frozen dessert. . It's available in pineapple or vanilla or a twist of both. Exceptionally refreshing.

You can find them in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom and at the Poly at the Pineapple Lanai.

It is, IMHO, a do-not-miss treat. On a hot summer day, it is heaven.

• Natural & Artificial Flavor (contains Pineapple Juice), Modified Food Starch, Malic Acid, Artificial Color (Yellow 5 & 6)
• Mono & Diglycerides
• Less Than 2% Silicon Dioxide (Anticaking).

Tagging on to this I went late last year and I didn't see the option for Vanilla. Also their formula seemed different. I think the first time we had it it seemed more like soft serve? but when we had it this time it wasn't as good and it seemed more like an icee consistency. Is it just me? Did they change their formula?

Vanilla has been discontinued at MK's Aloha Isle. You can still get vanilla at Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian.

You forgot that true Dole Whips must be made in machines that were touched by Walt himself.

Not a popular opinion I'm sure, but Dole Whips (the ones from Aloha Isle, at least) are more overrated than stuffed crust pizza.

It's pineapple soft serve ice non-cream. That's it. Nothing more.

And if you get a dole whip float, ask for the server to use juice from the machine. Sometimes when they're busy, they pre-fill the cups with pineapple juice and it tastes terrible when it's warm. And last time I was at the Poly the Pineapple Lanai was open till midnight.

This is a great tip! I love the Dole Whip Float but have grumbled that it would be so much better if the juice was cold.
