Dole Whip is a Dish Best Served Cold. A Sept PTR- 10/2 - TR POSTED!

I love how you can always find a little bit of Disney wherever you go!!!

Your pictures are absolutely fabulous. I am most impressed by the castle shots. They totally remind me of the film in France in Epcot. They are such majestic pieces of architecture. I can't imagine seeing one up close like that.

the parade looks so fun!

And the gondola ride! Wow!

What a wonderful trip!

Oh - and the museum is cool too!

I love your "this" picture in response to my comment about going to Disney alone. Totally cracked me up!

Sometimes getting lost has it's advantages!!

Love the castle picture with the flowers in the foreground. Beautiful!!! And the scenery from the mountains is spectacular.

You're getting sooooooo close!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Great pictures of Germany! So beautiful! Those castles are amazing!

Glad you had a great time!

Love your photos from Germany! Absolutely beautiful! Need to make it over to Europe soon with the kids although I think our first visit will be London and Paris. ;)

I've been obsessively clicking away every chance I get on the FP+ page trying to find the elusive Anna/Elsa FP+s.

Your trip is so close now!! Two more weeks!

Thanks! Oh that castle is really incredible, their architecture really blows you mind. Nothing like it on our side of the water!

Someday I want to see London. I've been to Paris, but only for two days. Still, it was really stunning.
Ahhh good luck to you! Still no 7DMT for me.
Single digits today! I can't believe it!

Had to come over and single digit dance with you:dance3::dance3::dance3:

EEEEEEEEE!! We're almost there! :dance3::dance3::dance3: :hyper: :woohoo: :yay:

Hi all!

I am SINGLE DIGIT DANCING today!

Can you believe it?? I can't! I'm still not ready! I got the suitcase out and my bathing suit is in it. That's it. Nothing else! I can't imagine them letting me into the parks in just that! And I feel very unprepared as I haven't made a dozen ADRs or pages of plans or anything. I'm getting nervous about sharing a trip with so many people, and those people not being as Disney-obsessed as I am and possibly not early risers like me. I'm trying to tell myself it will all be amazing once we get there...

To soothe the obsessive planner in me, I'm going to run through my day to day plans really quickly, just to get it down somewhere!

Day 0 - Travel Day
Barely counts as a day. We leave Sydney at 1:15, fly to Halifax, then fly to Toronto, then fly to Orlando, landing at 11:40pm. Long day. When we land we have to pick up our rental cars, get our own luggage, and then dig out the GPS to find the condo.

Day 1 (Sept. 21) -- Explore
Not too much in the way of plans for this day. We will be finding a grocery store and getting a few things, mostly breakfast items, but also shampoo, soap, other toiletries, etc. that we decided to buy down there instead of lugging it all with us.

We want to do a little shopping, maybe find a mall. My budget for this trip really doesn't allow for any real shopping to be done, so maybe I'll call this browsing instead.

We will be heading to DOWNTOWN DISNEY for our first wonderful taste of Disney Magic! We have a reservation at 3:30pm at T-Rex! I'm excited for that, I love it there.

1450862_10151812564972989_90906023_n.jpg

After that, I hope we can stay at Downtown Disney for a while. We have no other plans so we will see how it goes, I guess!

Day 2 (Sept. 22) -- Hollywood Studios

305202_10150326039977989_901048894_n.jpg

I really hope we can get everyone up really early to get to the park for rope drop. I hope this because FP+ is a tiered system and I had to make some hard choices. Rock n Roller coaster is usually empty first thing in the morning, so I need to get there to ride it because I don't have a FP+ for it!

11:35 opens our Star Tours FP+ window, but I will be waiting until 11:45 to meet up with KatMark! So excited to sneak in a few Dismeets!

After that we will grab some lunch, hopefully we can find somewhere for us to all sit together.

1:10 opens my TSM FP+ and 2:50 opens my ToT FP+.

Wait.

A TOWER of TERROR FASTPASS?

For WENDY???

No, not really. It was the only thing I could get easily and I figured I can let someone else use it. Or change it, if I see something better come up.

After that it's more ride riding and show watching and then I hope everyone is game to stay for Fantasmic! It's not my favourite show, but I definitely want to make sure my first timer family gets to see it.

Day 3 (Sept. 23) -- Dark Side
This will be my only day at Universal. I have a plan of attack and anyone who doesn't want to follow me can meet me at the exit when we're done!

First, I'll go to Universal Studios. Run to the new Harry Potter section (Diagon Alley) and do everything there is to do there. Take the Hogwarts Express (train) to Islands of Adventure (we have park to park passes.) Do the old Harry Potter section (Hogsmede.)

303717_10150327034097989_1877871301_n.jpg

Then circle around the rest of the park doing anything we want to do -- mostly Spiderman and Jurassic Park. Back to Harry Potter and back on the train (it's a different experience going each way!) Back to Universal studios to finish the rides there. Can't miss Transformers, the Mummy, Men in Black and if possible, E.T.

If I have time, I'll probably just look through the new Harry Potter section again.

After Universal closes, we will be going to CAPONES dinner theatre. Sounds like a good time and a good meal. It's a new one for all of us.

Day 4 (Sept. 24) -- Magic Kingdom

417361_10151100506212989_180713986_n.jpg

Ahhh back to Disney for this day. Since we are no longer able to do pre park opening entry, as some of our number wanted to cancel my beloved Crystal Palace breakfast... (stop ranting, Wendy!) I will still be hoping to make rope drop. The biggest reason is to run to a kiosk and see if I can get a FP+ for the 7DMT! I haven't had any luck yet so that's my plan. I might also run straight there to see what the standby is like early in the morning.

LUNCH will be amazing, because we're going to Be Our Guest!

1472877_10151819838252989_156025578_n.jpg

I know some of you aren't fans, but we enjoyed everything both times we ate there last year.

After lunch I have a lineup of FP+ (which could change if I get 7DMT!) for now they look like this:
12:05 - 1:05 - Splash Mountain
1:45 - 2:45 - Haunted Mansion
2:55 - 3:55 - Peter Pan's Flight

I will be staying for WISHES even if it means I have to walk back to the Condo alone.

Day 5 (Sept. 25) -- Off On Our Own
The rest of the family has two day Universal tickets, so this is their second day at Universal. Johnny and I will get them to drop us off at EPCOT (or any resort or the TTC or Magic Kingdom or just plain anywhere that allows us to get to Epcot!)

Back on familiar territory (i.e. just the two of us, in Disney!) we have this day planned perfectly.

Run for Test Track standby, then to our 9:50 FP+ for Soarin'. I changed a bit around, so now we have Mission: SPACE at 11:00. Next up is Maelstrom at 12:00. This starts our World Showcase tour and our Food and Wine tour!

309499_10150330366742989_1367472228_n.jpg

We made no meal plans for this day, we're going to eat our way through the festival for the first time ever. I can't wait!
We will be staying for IllumiNations for sure, and then hopefully someone will be willing to come and pick us up!

Day 6 (Sept. 26) -- Wendy's Kryptonite
We have no plans for this day.

:scared1:

We tentatively agreed to go to ESPN on the Boardwalk for some dinner, but that's it.

298932_10150325850292989_823079328_n.jpg

I hope we do, I really liked the food there and would love to get to the Boardwalk.

Johnny talked about mini-putt (seriously, I'd crawl to Animal Kingdom first.) or Go-Karts (again, I'll clean the elephant enclosure first.) sooo... I guess we'll see about this day. :confused3

Day 7 (Sept. 27) -- Home
Traveling home this day. We leave Orlando at 10:00am and fly to Montreal, then to Halifax, then to Sydney. We get home at 7:07pm.

So there you have the whole list of daily plans! I have to run, I have a thousand things to do today. I have to drive to Halifax (about 5 hours) to go to a wedding on Saturday and I have nothing ready for that or my trip! Have a good day everyone!

Ok, I'll let the dancing slide just this once ;)

Oof that is a long travel day. Amazing what one extra stop does.

And don't forget about all the Frozen stuff at DHS too!!! Oh yeah, and ME, lol!!!

Universal day sounds pretty much my plan as well. My only major must dos apart from Potter is Transformers (new to me) and The Mummy (because it's AWESOME!)

Keep trying for Mine Train Wendy and make sure to check using each current FP. (I'm sure you are, but just in case). I actually got another Mine Train for the 23rd but it only showed up for one of my FP's because of the time. Don't give up hope!!! Plus I "think" I'll be at MK that night (24th) to see Wishes since it's my last night. If they all abandon you, I'll drive you home, lol.

I think even with all the extra people, you're gonna have a great time. And at least you have that one full day with just you and Johnny and Food and Wine. Should be a highlight.

OMG it's getting so close!

I don't know why on earth you would not want to Mini-Putt!

I do agree that it's not enough Disney though.

Ya know what.... I will have to try T-Rex next time I'm there. It looks cool!

Yay for single digit dancing!!:banana::banana:

I am with you on being behind on the packing. Normally by this point I'd have my list printed, suitcase out, and packing would be started. I have nothing done yet!

Oh your plans look good! Well except for the potential for mini golf lol, so jealous about your universal day!!!

I can't believe we entirely miss each other. Yay for single digits, I danced yesterday to the one week countdown!

Yay for single digits!! :banana::banana::banana:

That is a pretty packed week and still pretty planned out even without all the ADRs!

I agree with your Universal day. Do what you want and don't let the others hold you back since they will have an extra day. Just let them know nicely ahead of time! or tell them you accidentally fell into a cabinet in KnockTurn Alley and ended up on the other side of the park! :bitelip:

I think your plans sound great (and, by the way, we like mini-putt at Disney...it's so Disney).

If you get stuck on Thursday night, the 25th, we can give you a ride back. We will be arriving at Epcot around 4:00 or 4:30 as we have dinner at Nine Dragons and will be there until closing.

We are getting so close.

I haven't packed either. I do, however, have my bathing suit and all my shorts and t-shirts out.

Hi ya Wendy!

So, so far behind once again.:( Glad I had the opportunity at work to catch up.:surfweb:

I must go the Alps one day. That is a once in a lifetime view. So majestic!

Oh, and of course there is that thing we call the "Single Digit Dance!!!"

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

So excited for you!

Trying to do replies on my iPad at 3:30am here, so forgive any errors. I can't see how I'm going to get much time over the next week to get on here much so I'll take my time where I can get it (as in insomnia.)

Great pics of Germany and joining in on the single digit dancing party!! :woohoo::dance3::dance3:party:
Thanks Tanz! I can't believe I'm dancing already!

Oh I hate that one extra stop. I wish we could have got sydney to Toronto!
Haha yes you're definitely on the DHS agenda! The frozen stuff too, hoping I have time to see most of it.
I keep checking at odd times for the mine train FP (like 3:30 am... Lol) I'm still holding out some hope!
Hahahaha awwww thanks! Good to know I won't be hitchhiking through central Florida just to see Wishes! I'll have to make sure I still have your number in case we get a chance to meet up that evening too.
I'm excited for food and wine... And especially it just being the two of us!

OMG it's getting so close! I don't know why on earth you would not want to Mini-Putt! I do agree that it's not enough Disney though. Ya know what.... I will have to try T-Rex next time I'm there. It looks cool!
So close, Mims. I'm not a fan of mini putt. I mean, I'll play with a group but just to be a sport, I don't really love it. And while I'm in Florida It would kill me to do something we can do here, you know?
Definitely try T-Rex, I love it!

I am just so far behind my usual, and it's only making things worse! Lol I've got to get caught up this weekend or else my anxiety will spill over! :rotfl:

I can't believe it either, especially by how little we miss. :( some day we are bound to cross paths! Have an amazing trip though!
OMG mini golf just isn't my thing. To me any time spent in Florida and not at disney (or, ok, universe I admit) is just a waste. :rotfl:

Thankfully it is going to be pretty busy. Definitely strange going there with hardly any adrs, I wonder what that will be like!
We did say nicely (I think...) to our travel companions that we were doing our thing in universal. They figure they'll just follow us and do anything they missed on their second day, but with kids I'm not sure how that will work, lol.
But for the record, I like your plan b a lot.
