Dole whip has casein

Just an FYI-I am at WDW now and the ingredients binder still lists the pineapple dole whip as containing casein. I know a lot of people on here have said that the ingredients changed and casein was removed. That does not appear to be the case, at least according to the ingredients list available at the stand. I was so disappointed because I though I could have one
:(

They never removed the casein from the vanilla soft serve but the pineapple soft serve didn't have casein back in April. Maybe they're trying to get rid of older stock?

Unless the CM gave me an old binder, the pineapple had casein in it as of 3:30 pm this afternoon. I went with the binder to be safe. So sad!

Guess they changed it again. There's probably going to be a lot of disappointed people. I couldn't have it even with the casein out because of the modified food starch and dextrose. Thanks for posting the update. So much for the whole vegan thing on Dole's side. :/

At Disney World, they have to lose Casein, because they use the same bucket for all flavors, some of which do have it. So, there is cross contamination issues.

If they used seperate buckets, the ingredient list would probably correctly list the Pineapple as not having it.

Disneyland does not have this issue and it is listed correctly in their binder.

This must be the case. I am soooo glad you posted this info. We went over to the Poly tonight and asked to see the ingredient label, not the binder. Casein and soybean oil free unlike the binder in MK! Guess who's getting a dole whip after dinner at 'Ohana tonight...this girl!

Edit: the chef brought me a dole whip as my included dessert! He went downstairs and got it and served it to me when my husband got the bread pudding.

Good point that it might be listed due to cross contamination at Aloha Isle.

I assumed we shouldn't eat them at Poly because of potential for cross contamination at the machine (it is self serve after all). I never thought that a chef might be able to get fresh stuff. Great to know they can do this. Thanks!!

My kids and I are really looking forward to having a couple at DL.

Be careful! Cross contamination is not an issue for me. I did not eat any at MK because the binder said it contained casein and I didn't want to risk vomiting and being out of commission for two days.

I'm pretty sure the chef just went downstairs and got me a cup from the self serve machine, which is fine for me, but won't be for folks who need to be careful with cross contamination.

Now that I know the ingredients from the box, I feel comfortable getting one in MK. Again, I wouldn't if cross contamination were an issue.

Oh, I misunderstood what you meant when you said "went downstairs". I was thinking that you were at Captain Cooke's and the chef went to some lower level to get it. Now I'm getting that you were upstairs at 'Ohana (didn't catch the bread pudding for your DH). Thanks for straightening me out.

I just wanted to make sure no one had a reaction because of something I posted. :)
