Is it self serve? I saw a picture that indicated you can do it yourself. My DH would love to do his own dole whip! He'd have a tower of ice cream 10 feet high! I've never heard of Captain Cook's. Is it a buffet or counter service?
Captain Cook's is the CS location at the Poly. And yes, they have a self-serve Dole Whip machine - Dole Whip is soft serve. You can't make the float there (with the pineapple juice) like they have @ Aloha Isle, but you can get the ice cream (which is not really ice cream!).
It is a regluar size single serving cup, but believe me when I say you can pile it plenty high. We love to go there and get the aloha pork sandwich, and then the dole whip as one of the best dessert options on property.
Oh my DH can get it pretty high!! He fell in love with these on our 2007 trip and gets one nearly every day that we're there. He's sure to get his "moneys worth" (snack credit-worth)! I personally prefer the float so I usually get one at Aloha Isle once on our trip.

Me tooo!!! I literally can not wait to get there on our first night to get a aloha pork and dole whip. I love pouring the sweet & sour sauce packets on the chips you get with the pork sandwich. It tastes best with the Fanta orange yummy
Yes, it is CS at the Poly. I see a lot of bad reviews for it but we've eaten there many times and other than having a hard time finding seating, we have always enjoyed it.
We visited at about 12:30AM on our last night of our August trip on the way back to our room. Had to use up our last snack credit and although my DS15 and I were pretty full from a great dinner at Le Cellier, we still piled our Dole Whip pretty high.
Don't forget that Capn' Cooks also has the terrific Tonga toast as a CS breakfast. We get the platter with Tonga toast and bacon, 2 juices, and it easily feeds both of us!
