Had to laugh at the conversation about Dole whips on this weeks podcast! If it is vegan, gluten free, lactose free, non-dairy...what the heck is it? So I looked it up! Here is the official ingredient list:

Sugar, Dextrose, Pineapple Crystals, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Stabilizers (Cellulose, Locust Bean, Guar, Xanthan, Karaya Gum, Pectin), Sodium Silico Aluminate, Vegetable Fiber, Citric Acid, Artificial Flavor, Sodium Caseinate (A Milk Derivative), Mono & Diglycerides, Sodium Citrate, Salt, Dipotassium Phosphate, Artificial Color Including F.D. & C. Yellow #6.

Hhhmmmmm.....while tasty enough, maybe not a health food, lol! Yummmmm stabilizers! :lmao:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a health nut by any measure, but hearing all the things that it isn't made me very curious to see what it is! (I almost wish that I didn't look!)

Hahah yeesh, as a cup full of chemicals - I suppose it can still be considered "a vacation indulgence" then! Thanks for doing the research.

Hmmmm... If it has "a milk derivative" in it, it's not vegan/dairy-free! I had read on-line before that it was vegan, so I wonder if there are different types. At least I know now why I always think it tastes so artificial. I don't care for it at all, but I appear to be in the minority.
