Does anyone ever do the same character meal twice? Say the Chef Mickey for breakfast one day and then a few days later for dinner?

This is our very first trip and it is really going to be all about the kids with the exception of a night or two where the adults (two Grandmas or DH & I) will sneak out for a dinner date night.

Would kids generally enjoy doing the same character meal twice or would it be too boring the 2nd time around? They are 4, 4 almost 3 and my baby is 17 mths.

I wouldn't because there are lots of fun character meals

eg you could do chef mickey breakfast and then garden grill dinner.

Tusker house breakfast is also fun as is cape may at the beachclub.

Sure I would do that. My kids want to go to ohana breakfast twice. If chef mickeys is close to where you will be staying I would. Sometimes we only go to MK so we normally go to the same places. Now if I was staying at beach club I would try the breakfast there.

that if I really loved the food and there aren't any character meals with food I love that much.

There are enough character meals that you could almost overdose on them in a relatively long trip. I would look at what characters are available and build around your favorites. If your kids really like a character, you can see that one somewhere else along with someone new.

One benefit of this approach is that as you wean yourself from character meals you will know which ones are worth the money and which ones aren't.

I try to try new character meals when I go. Ohanna's for me has the best food. It's served family style. But we have had fun at all the character meals.

I would look at the Disney site at character meals and see what characters you like the most and plan accordingly. It's our fifth time going this year but have never been to Tusker house so we are giving that a try along with CRT. But we also are going on the Dream after WDW so we will have more one on one time.

Askershus is my favorite if your kids are really into the Princesses.

We are doing these character meals
Chef Mickey - breakfast
Cape May - B
Crystal palace - B
H & V - B
Akershus - L (but I may cancel, it is on our 2nd to last day so I will see if the girls like the princesses or not) * Plus we aren't sure if we are going to do Epcot so I didn't think I should look at the Garden Grill.

We have a party of 8 so I haven't been able to get Ohana, CRT, or 1900 Park fare but I have seen openings for Dinner at the CP and Chef Mickey.

There is no way I would do the same character meal twice.

Too many of them to do the same one. I would recommend switching something up.
It is ok (and quite fun) to do 2 -3 character meals in a trip, but definitely different ones to enjoy.

Have a good trip!

I have done character meals twice on a trip. Actually we quite often do. But I wouldn't do CM, try something else. The food is not that great:sick: We like to be in the parks before they open so we always do early ADRs. That means sometimes we repeat CP just so we are in the park MK. We like to eat a big breakfast!

I scheduled lots of character meals our first trip- O'hanas breakfast(we were staying @ Poly's), Garden Grill lunch , LTT dinner, Crystal Palace lunch, Donald's Breakfastasaurus (is it even there anymore?). This was good b/c we could skip the autograph lines where I knew we would be seeing the characters @ meals- this saved lots of time. No matter where you go you will see many Chip & Dales- those guys are everywhere :) We also went to Chef Mickey's (dinner) and Cape May Cafe (breakfast) on later trips. The food is all predictable, buffet food- not great but not terrible either. The only meal we repeated on a later trip was Crystal Palace lunch, at the boys request.

I would not because most character meals are buffets and I do not enjoy buffets. I have done Chef Mickey's for both breakfast and dinner on different trips and while the character interaction has been great, the food is average. To me that is way too much to spend for the same characters and buffet food.

If you can get Crystal Palace I would do that. My kids (even the big ones) love it for some reason. And while I am not a fan of buffets, I find this one very well maintained and the food is better than CMs.

I certainly don't think your children would be bored, or at that age, even remember they were at the same restaurant. I like taking mine to different restaurant for pictures with other characters, but that is for me.

With so many character meals available I would not do the same one twice only since they are so expensive if paying OOP I would want to try something different.

Crystal Palace in MK is great for breakfast. I would make a list of what character are at what meal and choose that way.

We have when we were on deluxe dining and were staying at Beach Club (Cape May) and Contemporary (Chef Mickey's). I don't think I would otherwise though. It's nice to be able to just go down and eat breakfast and go back to the room before heading out.

I think it depends how long you are staying and which parks you will be spending most of your time in.
