Doing MNSSHP twice

Hey there,

Can't believe we'll be there in less than two months!

I was wondering what you guys are thinking about visiting MNSSHP twice during the same trip. I did that party in 2006 and we ran out of time to do everything. In 2008, we did MCMCP twice and it was perfect : we took our time, we saw everything and we really enjoyed it!

We have already book our tickets for two nights but I'm still wondering what you are thinking!

Last year I went twice. I planned each night for different activities. The first was for JUST character meet and greets and I got soooo many great pics with all the biggies. Seven dwarfs, Maleficent, Evil Queen, and the list goes on and on. It did feel a little strange to be in a queue for the princesses and their princes while Hallowishes! was going on but I knew I was going to see it in a couple of days.
The second time was for parades, Villains Mix n' Mingle, Hallowishes! and a little bit of trick or treating. I managed to get a couple more characters because I still had plenty of time between those events to just do whatever.
It's by far the best way to make sure you get all of the "must dos" done and then some! Enjoy!

We went 3 times last September! And we could have gone again. This year there are only 2 scheduled during our trip, but you can bet we will be at both!

We did MNSSHP only once but wish we did it twice. There was NOT enough time. We did MCMCP twice this last year and it was great for a few reasons.

• We didn't feel likewe had to rush.
• If DS5 didn't stay up late, it was not a big deal because we were coming back a 2nd time.
• We got to see ALL of the characters (except some of the princesses who were not in halloween costumes. We saw them on a regular day.

I think MNSSHP is even better to go twice... it was a LOT better than MVMCP. It was also more crowded (but we were there the last week of October) and that made it take longer to do things.

I can't imagine being able to do everything at the party if only going 1 time... even if you are staying until midnight, and if only doing a few rides or none. There are a LOT of characters in Halloween/Holiday costumes, the dance parties, the special castle stage shows, the parades, trick or treating (or snow at MVMCP).

That all being said, we are only going once to MNSSHP next month because we are trying to do a lot of other things too (like waterparks) so there just isn't enough time to go twice.... but...

If only going once, I would do rides on a non party day or go earlier to MK (tends to be not crowded during the day when there's a party at night). And I'd skip the characters who do not wear special holiday costumes and see them on another day (like the princesses and fairies). And instead, focus on the special characters, parades, dance parties, special shows, and fireworks.

Sorry, but the only way I would do MNSSHP or MVMCP twice is if I had no regular park tickets.

In our experience, the park empties out big time after about 3 hours of MNSSHP, and the last 2 hours or so we walk on just about every ride still running. Combine that with going to MK once or twice during a normal stay for us, and there's nothing left to see that we haven't already done. So, for us, a second MNSSHP would be a waste of money (we get enough candy to last us months). I'm just not willing to pay the freight just to watch the unique parade again.

I had never even considered doing it twice but I think it's a fantastic idea! Our kids don't stay up late so we're normally out of there by 10ish. We will definitely be going twice the next time we're there for MNSSHP!

We are considering doing MNSSHP twice b/c of the new charecters added to the party that we want to meet. If we were not big charecter hunters we would not bother with doing the party twice we would be able to see all the shows, the parade and Wishs, get some trick or treating in, and meet a handful of charecters during the normal party nights. We don't do many rides on party nights as we can hit those anytime on a normal day our primary goal is just the special charecters and party events.

If you're doing the party for the rides, then you probably don't need to go twice. Even on a sold out night the lines are very short.

If you want to do the shows, characters, parade and fireworks, it is very hard to do it all in one night. We also love doing the parties twice so we can enjoy ourselves without feeling like Cinderella at the ball.....running short of time as midnight approaches.

We can only afford to do it once, but I wish we could it twice! I cant wait til the 13th so i can see some pics and such. I need to figure out what besides rides to cut out.

We are going to Disney 10/27-11/1 and it will be our first time going in October and doing MNSSHP....I originally had gotten tickets just for Halloween but I did not think that we would be able to meet all the characters,see the shows,trick or treat,see the parade and do the rides all on one night so I just bought tickets for 10/27 party also...

This is what we did for MVMCP in 2008 : one night for the characters and the other one for the entertainment. I think we took the right decision!!!

I'll be doing MNSSHP twice, but not in the same trip. I'll be there Sept. 9-14 and I'll be at the party on the 13th. I'll be there again Sept. 29 - Oct. 3 and will be at the party on the 30th. I think it'll be a great way to get everything in.

We have gone twice and thought it was a good decision!
One party we see the shows, entertainment and some rides. The next party we ride more rides, do meet and greets and trick or treating. It just us 2 adults in our group though so that makes a difference!
I say if you want to do it and can afford to do---then go for it!

May I thread jump and ask if you (general you) would feel out of place at these parties if you are NOT dressed up? We'll be there and I've avoided going because there's no way I can deal with getting costumes and having us all dressed up for it.. Just wondering.

We're going down to WDW over Columbus Day weekend specifically to attend MNSSHP twice! We fly down after work on Thursday, October 6 and come home on Tuesday, October 11, with tickets for MNSSHP on 10/7 and 10/10.

For the PP, there's no need to feel out of place if you're not dressed up in a costume. There are lots of people in regular clothing, lots in "fall" colors, lots with Halloween-type shirts, and lots with costumes.

we pre-bought tickets for one(1) MNSSHP before our trip... during that one we decided this was way too much fun to just experience once (walk on rides and TONS of candy, what could be better) when we got back to our hotel I immediately bought the other two parties during our trip.


This trip we are going to 3 MVMCPs just to experience the christmas in disney!

We did it twice in one visit a few years ago, but we don't wait in line for the characters and we also started going to HHN, so we always go just once now.

I did it four times last year!!!!It was tremendous.Got to see everything and meet everyone a few times over. Must have seen Boo to You like 6 times , and just stood in different spots for the Villian's Mix n Mingle so I could meet all of em. I was able to procure a bunch opf candy as well.

I plan on doing it again this year too, this time my wife will be there. We plan on going to all four parties , she loves the trick or treating and I love meeting all the different characters.
