Doing MGM on the Fourth of July and..

Wondering what time this park reaches its capacity on the 4th?


We have ressies at Hollywood and Vine at 4:30pm - Now if we head over to the park at 4pm and the park is full do we still get to go in and once in after we eat do we get to stay in the park?

To see the 4th fireworks at MGM were do you stand? Any spots you'd recommend?

usually it's the magic kingdom that fills, i don't remember mgm closing. however i believe if u are a restort guest you can still enter the parks.

We did Epcot for most of the day last year and ended up heading over to MGM, to catch Sorcery in the Sky, around 5-6pm and had no problems getting in the park. I will say it was packed. We did not really ride anything once we arrived there since the lines were all very long at that time.

We drove over from Epcot and were able to get a parking spot but it looked like they would not be able to accomodate many more cars after we parked. I did not notice that anyone was turned away at the gates either as we just secured a spot, close to the front, to sit down and relaxed until the fireworks started.

Depending on crowds this year it could close to capacity at some point. It is a smaller park so it does not handle as many people and park attendance does appear to be up this year.

Unfortunately we are not going over the 4th this year. We won't be arriving until the 16th of July but have a fun trip.

I am pretty sure that the only park reaching capacity on July 4th is the MK. We will be in the parks on the 4th but are avoiding MK and leaving it to everyone else.

Historically, the MK reaches capacity on the 4th. I do not recall the other parks reaching capacity. Epcot will feel the least crowded because of its size. We will be joining you on the 4th but are leaving the MK to everyone else.
