Thanks everyone for the great comments!!

I am sorry that I am so slow with the upcoming reviews... my mind is just cluttered with the thoughts of a tragedy that took place in our backyard (literally speaking)on Monday night. A woman stumbled in front of the train and was killed. We live in a small town of about 1500 people so everyone knows everyone. Our house is but a couple hundred feet from the tracks. I will be back and ready to write some more soon.

Not to go off topic too far, but please keep the family of Tina Anderson from Farmland Indiana in your thoughts and prayers:sad2:

We had a really fun morning, almost everything had absolutely no wating in lines. We were able to get on all of our favorites and some others all before lunch!

Our reservation was for 11:40am, we arrived at approximately 12 noon. We waited for about 5 minutes and were seated.

Appetizers

DD & DW
Tavern Fried Cheese - Served with marinara sauce. - $5.49
This was very good, we all loved the flavor. I normally would say that cheese sticks are all pretty much the same but these had something extra special about them... maybe its because we were in Magic Kingdom..LOL I think there were just enough of these to enjoy them and feel like you don't need more.

ME
Maryland Crab Cake - A pan-seared blue crab cake on roasted corn succotash with tartar sauce. - $10.49
I enjoyed these, ate every bite and the side was good too, lima beans are on the bottom of my food list but they went well in this succotash. There was an incredible amount of tartar sauce served with these, I tried one bite with it and left it there. Its not that the tartar wasn't good, but I liked the flavor better without it. This was also a large potion for an appetizer.

Entrees

DW
William Penn Chicken Pasta - Marinated chicken, applewood smoked bacon, mushrooms and basil with creamy marinara sauce. - $15.99
This dish offered a good size portion for lunch. The chicken pieces were large and tender. The bacon and mushrooms made the flavor of the sauce very good.

DD
Pilgrim's Feast - Traditional roast turkey and herb bread dressing, mashed potatoes and a garden vegetable. - $14.99
This was a good amount of food. The turkey was not dry and had good flavor and the green beans didn't taste like they came right from a cheap frozen entree. Mashed potatoes were good, but the dressing left a bit to be desired. Dressing is something we all like and I always make it from scratch, it is not surprising that we didn't care for it, I find it very hard to find it in any restaurant and like it.

ME
Salmon Club Sandwich
- grilled salmon on toasted multi-grain with lemon-basil mayonnaise served with mixed greens salad $14.99
Of the 3 entrees we ordered this was definitely my favorite. I don't normally order sandwiches and have never had a salmon sandwich. This was a very filling sandwich! The fish had great taste and I loved the bread.

Desserts

DW
Three-Chocolate Brownie - Dark, Milk, and White Chocolate Brownie with Cherry Chambord Ice Cream - $5.99
This was very yummy as far as ice cream and brownies go, especially the cherry ice cream. I would not get it myself, I liked what I got better and I think the brownie dessert at Planet Hollywood was much tastier.

DSC05999.jpg

DD & ME
Caramel Apple Tart - Shortbread crust, sugared apples, and cinnamon ice cream. - $5.49
This was a perfect finish to the meal, the shortbread crust meets it name, it has a very crunchy outside. It is served warm and taste great! This dessert was rich with flavor but not "rich", we were able to finish it and still feel the ability to walk around!

Beverages
DD Vanilla Shake - $5.19
DW Vanilla Shake - $5.19
ME Tavern Punch - $5.19

These beverages were allowed on the dining plan but all came in a regular glass, the shake were basic but good and the tavern punch was like an orange cream bar.

Service
We felt very welcome here and comfortable. Our server was very nice and attentive - not anything super special, but just fine. All the CM's were very friendly here from beginning to end. There was no CM's running around with their heads cut off, like we have experienced at other locations. At no point did we feel rushed.

Atmosphere

This restaurant was roomy and not at all loud. It is not very Handicapped friendly... there are stairs everywhere, you have to go up at least 2 steps to get to any table( I don't recall seeing a ramp, but I can't be sure). The rest rooms are located up 2 flights of stairs and they are very, very small, the size of a small walk in closet(my bathroom at home is almost bigger).. they were also dirty while we were there. There were rest rooms close by outside, so i made a quick visit to them. On a more positive note the rest of the place was very clean!

Food
The food here was tasty and satisfying. We would not hesitate to return here for Lunch. Good portions, and served at the right temps. No fancy presentation.

Overall

I would suggest this restaurant without a second thought, unless there are concerns with the stairs.
Given the options in Magic Kingdom for a table service meal, this is one tops the list, for a non-buffet meal. I would also suggest avoiding the rest rooms here, even if they are clean, they are difficult to get to and small. This was also a very reasonable priced meal compared to most all others we had. A great place for a family meal, and a very casual come as you are comfortable feeling.

We were seated in the Betsy Ross room.

We had a similar experience with LTT: great food and service, lousy restrooms. LOL

Great pics! We've done the LTT dinner, and am hoping to do lunch next time.
:thumbsup2

We really enjoy LTT for lunch also. I did not make an ADR for it this trip and am starting to regret my choice of WC at the Wilderness Lodge instead. Your description of the service and atmosphere is just how we feel, even down to the tiny bathroom....

Yummy Yummy
Your review of LTT wants me to find a way to squeeze that into our trip in March for lunch

I have enjoyed all your reviews so far.

The LTT meal looks and sounds great! I'll remember your restroom tip if we ever eat here.

I have young kids too and we're on the DxDDP. For our signature meals we've decided on: Yachtsman's Steakhouse for T-giving dinner

So are we!!! Me and my two kids (son 9 and daughter 4) will be there at 4:20pm for Thanksgiving Dinner.

I have a question for you. When I made the ADR the CM said they will have regular menu items...were you told the same? I asked because if I am going there, I want to eat their regular food not some special menu.

26 more days for us!!!

This is what I found on the DIS for T-giving menus from 2007, I'm assuming it will be very similar this year:

Yachtsman’s Steakhouse Chef's Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner
Choice of soup or salad, choice of traditional turkey dinner or 12 oz. New York Strip or Yachtsman Filet Mignon or Chef's Seafood Selection and Dessert

I don't believe they will have the entire regular menu available that day. I think the only options are turkey or which steak, but I could be wrong - I'm guessing here.

I think I'm going to stick to the "traditional dinner" while DH is going for a steak. He's already talking about stocking up on park turkey legs and microwaving them for in room snacks so he'll be all turkeyed out by T-giving :rotfl2:

I'm really hoping they'll be lots of families at that time and not the traditional YS crowd. My kids are really not "signature restaurant" suitable :rotfl2: We're really planning this meal with special toys. I really want to enjoy one meal with out a character popping his big head in my face! :rotfl:

Your reviews are fabulous. I can't wait to read about Teppan Edo!

Thanks for the comments... I am really serious about those rest rooms:rotfl:

OK :) I am ready to get back on the bus and get these reviews rolling!:cool1:
