All aboard time is Friday at 3:45pm. Would love to enjoy some park time before we head over to Port Canaveral. If we stay at a disney resort Thursday night, what is the latest you recommend leaving Disney World Friday to make all aboard time at 3:45pm?? Thanks!!

Personally speaking, would skip the Disney park the morning you embark. Visit the park of your choice while there Thursday.
Have a nice breakfast at Disney on Fri. and then head over to the terminal sometime later that morning. You'll want to give yourself
plenty of time just in case you encounter a delay on the road.

Enjoy your cruise.

Are you on the Dream? With an embarkation day of Friday, I would guess you are on a 3 night cruise on the Dream. If that's the case, I wouldn't recommend trying to get park time in on embarkation day. The cruise is short enough as it is. If you try to get park time in, you won't be getting on board super early and you'll miss out on enjoying the boat that first afternoon.

Try to get as early a PAT as possible. Board, get some lunch, and then start relaxing.

From Disney the trip to Port Canveral is over an hour in the best of circumstances
It would be a good idea to factor in time for accidents, traffic snarl ups and just forgo the theme park for the day. But if you insist and want to try for a park that day, I would suggest using the toll roads and getting an E/Sunpass transponder.

If you are driving yourself and not taking the Disney bus, you may have a bit more leeway, BUT not by much.

The 417 to the Beach Line (aka 528 and the most direct route to PC) are heavy in tolls and if you are stopping to pay them that will add time to your trip. Having the E pass will definitely cut down on the time factor there.
If you take I4 to the 528 on a Friday afternoon anytime after 1 PM you will be sitting in traffic and you will want to add a couple of hours travel time in addition to the actual time it will take you.

It might actually be a more fun and less stressful idea to go to a park AFTER the cruise. You will get off the ship well before 9 AM (if not sooner depending on your dining time) And you can be on your way to Disney in no time flat. With no stress or worry about getting onboard.

They have a wonderful buffet upon boarding that you can enjoy before you go to your room. Pack your swimsuits, sunscreen and flip flops in a day bag with your boarding papers and have some fun.

You may want to skip the park on embarkation day, head over on disembarkation day instead.

Personally I would skip the park and head over to the ship instead. That is not to say I will not get my WDW fix because I typically will head out two or more days before my sail date to get some park time in. I also stay another day or two after the cruise for even more WDW time.

The park will only be worth it if you have a annual pass. Get some fast passes rides in than head back to hotel check out head to your cruise. Epcot and hs are good of you are staying at the Epcot resorts
