Doing Disney from Universal hotels?

We will be going to Orlando for two weeks end of August/beginnning of September, doing Universal, Disney, Seaworld and Discovery Cove, probably roughly half Disney, half non-Disney. Because we are traveling with 3 kids, ideally I would prefer to stay in one hotel the entire time. If we stay at PBH the whole two weeks, is it easy to do Disney parks? How long does it really take in the morning for example? We will have a car, but in previous visits stayed onsite Disney and used the transportation alot. What do you do?

WDW & US are approx. a 30 minute drive. So adding time for parking and getting to the park gate, I'd give about an hour. I guess it depends on your "style" of park visiting. If you're planning on doing all your WDW "stuff" in 1 visit per day, it would work. If you like to do a park, return to the hotel for swimming or unwinding, then back to the park, you'd be in the car a lot.

For a 2 week stay, personally, I'd just switch to a WDW resort after a week. Since you'll have a car, it won't be very hard.

Also, PBH is the only US resort with no laundry facilities. Unless you've got a ton of clothes, you'll probably need to do wash at least once. RPR has a very nice, large laundry room. But you need your room key to access it. You could visit that resort for swimming and to wash at the same time IF you're allowed to use the laundry facilities. I don't know. I'd call the front desk and ask.
