Day 2 - Animal Kingdom

Next up is Day 2 and its an Animal Kingdom Day :simba:

The plan for today is to make it to the park for opening at 9am, where we will proceed to rush ahead with the hoards to grab a FP for...

KS.jpg

Then we will head on over to go and ride...

EE.jpg

I want to go through the line for this one and be one of those people that holds up the line taking pictures and reading the signs  Only joking, will let people pass obviously, but want to take my time going through the line. Crazy I know, but it is a pretty awesome walk through. So after we have braved the mountains against the Yeti, we will see if we can grab a FP for another ride later, then stroll back on over to Asia to use our earlier FP for KS. After KS we will hop on a train to go to...

RafikisPlanetWatch.jpg

After learning how to save the planet, we will wander off into the unknown to search for some gorillas which we were told you could find in...

PFT.jpg

Gorillas located, we will then go and line up for...

FotLK.jpg

Can't wait to see this again as its an awesome show and we have also seen the Broadway one over here in London. Music and costumes are just awesome! So after singing along with Simba and co, we will then feed our rumbly bellys at...

flametreebbq.jpg

After chowing down on that yummy scrummy pulled pork sandwich, we'll wander on over to...

KRR.jpg

...and either pick up a FP or ride depending on wait time. Dave has decided that we are going to buy ponchos and wear them on the ride, I am also going to stash my shoes in a bag and put it in that basket thingy, good idea you think? After Kali we will most probably use the FP we picked up earlier for EE and ride that again, before going back in time and catching a ride on...

Dinosaur.jpg

Dave isn't looking forward to riding this one again, but after watching the film for the first time last week, I kinda get the ride now and want to go on it again, if only just to see our scaredy cat faces on the ride photo

After saving Aladar and co hopefully it will be time to go and catch this little guy...

FNtM.jpg

We have never seen this and are quite looking forward to it. We actually just watched the film today, hope its as good as :)

Once we have found Nemo, I think it will be time for some stop and smell the roses approach and we will just wander and take everything in. Maybe go on over here and try our luck at winning some goodies...

Dinoland.jpg

We'll also browse some of the souvenir shops as well, there is this one t shirt that I have bought every time we visit. Its a Pooh Bear t shirt which says "Tigger is that you?" and it has Pooh Bear staring through a magnifying glass at a real tiger :scared1: Is really cute :cutie:

Cntd...

After our little wander we will head on over to this place...

image154.jpg

Will defo get some PP pictures done and also take our time exploring the trail and taking in all the details. BTW, where is the trail?

Trail done, next up is...

CampMinnieMickey.jpg

Hopefully we can get a few character pics, my must find characters are these guys...

Thumper.jpg

I have heard that they are super soft, are they just too cute :cutie:

We will most probably then wander back up to Africa to explore...

Harambe.jpg

Maybe even catch another ride on KS before again wandering back over to Asia for another ride on EE, depending on what time it is we might head on over to our dinner reservation for the evening at...

Boma.jpg

We also want to check out the resort some more too in preparation for our Disneymoon next year.

Thats it for Day 2, where we will end up on Day 3?

Love your updates for Day 2 at the AK. I wish we could spend a whole day there, but this trip we are limited with Mark's rides, etc. And Flame Tree won't be open while we are there, so no point in a full day. :rotfl::rotfl:

I've been meaning to ask you: what didn't you like about CSR? I know every resort is not for everyone, but just curious.

Oooooh, day in AK sounds wonderful!! I LOVE AK!

Thanks :) Yes should be a great day as its such a beautiful park :)

Thanks :) AK is still a great place if you can't do all the rides, as you have the shows, character interactions and also the trails as well as the general beautifulness of the park :) Lunch wise, its a shame that FTB won't be open when you are there, what about trying Yak and Yeti CS?

We weren't that keen on CSR because we felt that it didn't have that Disney feel to it, kind of magicless. I don't think being sick helped either and that most of the resorts were at 90% capacity. We might end up staying there again one day and actually loving it, you never know.

Do you know Les? One of the CM's that drives the golf carts?

I don't think I'd like the CS as Yak & Yeti -- I think it would be a big let down after the table service. We're going to eat at the pool that day for lunch since we'll be going to EMH at the MK in the evening and eat at Columbia Harbor House.

Were you at CSR before or after the refurb? See, I don't think the Poly or the BC or the other moderates have much of a Disney feel either. I think only the values and perhaps the CBR have a real Disney feel because of the theme of the rooms. Although, if they go through with the "new room ideas" that they are getting feedback at POR and POFQ I guess they'll have more of a Disney feel too.

I think we did meet Les once or twice a couple of years ago (he was one of the guys who offered us a ride on the cart and I think he delivered a gift to our room one time as well.

We stayed there whilst the refurbs were going on.

I get what your saying, I just feel like it could have been better when we stayed there really, but like I said I said it could just have been because it was so busy and I wasn't very well which doesn't make one very happy when they are supposed to be on vacation.

That might have been Les, did he wear long sleeves, could you see tattoos through them? Dave says that he reminded him a little bit of Spence from King of Queens, coincidentally he is also the voice of Remy :teeth:

Yes, I remember the tattoos.

Did you see the two new rooms they are thinking of doing? If not, let me know and I'll link the thread here. One is a Haunted Mansion Theme and one is a Princess theme.

Haha yeah the Emirates certainly gets animated, especially when ther are 60,000+ in there. Was he confused when everyone was shouting "Stand up if you hate Tottenham, stand up if you hate Tottenham!"?

They are our North London rivals and we hate each other. Used to be very very intense back in the day, lots of fighting etc.

I'm glad he enjoyed himself.

He says he knows all about the rivalry with the Spurs. I would have been very confused, however:laughing:

Great plans for Day 2! Sounds like a full day in Animal Kingdom. We haven't done very much in the AK our past 2 trips because that park has just been too dang hot! I hope its bearable when you are there!

Love your DAK plans Stefy! :thumbsup2

Joe isn't able to do many of the rides there because of his back. We're not sure what this year will bring though, post surgery.

I am one of those people that holds up the lines taking pictures of all of the signs. :rolleyes1 I let people by though but Joe gives me the stink eye and asks me why I have to stop "every two feet." :lmao:

I am so bummed that Flame Tree will be closed when we are there. I love that place. :guilty:

Dave showed me and they look awesome. If they are available next year we might stay one night in the HM room and one night in the Princess one before our Cruise :teeth: The Princess Room is lovely and elegant and even Dave likes it as its not too girly girly looking. Post the pictures on here if you like so the others can see too :goodvibes

Sounds like your hubby had a great time at the game, next time he is coming over for a game/business let us know Dave might meet up with him and take him for a pint :)

Thanks :) We don't really remember AK being hot hot the first time we went in September, we found Epcot to be really hot. But we are hoping for some hot sunshine as Summer over here has been just pityfull :sad2:

Maybe this year might be different for Joe now, has he mentioned what he wants to do at the parks that he hasn't done in the past?

:lmao: stink eye, but at least you let people pass you because you know you are holding up the line :)

Its a bummer that FTB will be closed for some of you. Another good place to eat is Pizzafari, we had a small lunch there when we were trying to kill time and it wasn't bad, not to mention the decor is quite nice too :)

Hey All

How are we doing? Good weekends had by all I hope :)

Well it was back to work yesterday morning, snore groan etc. Man I hate Monday's!

So we got home from the gym and look what was waiting to greet us

The wonderful Karin (Dizneeat) sent this little guy to us to create some mischief and mischief he did make

Thank you so much Karin we love him and he is proudly sitting on our shelf, giggling away to himself :teeth:

Hi!

I am glad the "little guy" made it to your house safe and sound! He was screaming "take me to Stefy" when we walked past and I just had to do him the favour!
I am glad you and Dave like him!

We spent our weekend in Vienna and even though it was raining it was good fun (and good food! :rotfl2:), now we need to get ready to leave for WDW!
Went to the bank to exchange our spending money today! It's getting real close now!

Yeah he is awesome thank you so much for sending him to us :) I saw the stuffed doll version on your thread and although he is sorta evil looking with the teeth, he is awesome and I must get one

I just saw your ticker and holy crap, going on a cruise and 21nights at WDW? Free dining as well? I hope you got a decent exchange rate as you will be needing all you can get for those tips lol. That is one area we know alot of our money will go towards, tipping at restaurants and those will be big tips

Glad you like him Dave! :goodvibes

I got the stuffed one as a momento of our APholder preview trip for ToT at DLRP!
We really loved him at first sight! :lmao:

Yip, we're leaving in 4 days for a double dose of cruise fun and two visits to OKW (21 nights in total).
It's good to be open for ANY discount ;) as we booked one of the cruises as a bounceback with discount and OKW with Disney UK with a 42% discount on the villa AND free dining.
And yes, those tips will eat a huge piece of our budget, but then we have the food for free! ;) :rotfl2: And I have NEVER left a credit behind! :rotfl:

Do they still sell him? If so I will have to wire you some money ;) I am going to keep an eye out in WDW for any other experiments that are on sale. We only have Stitch and Angel, I know you can get Ruben but I have only seen it on Ebay :(

We will be using all our credits, but might find it difficult to use all the snack credits. I hear that snack credits are accepted at Food and Wine so that could be a potential outlet for them :)

Can't wait to hear all about Vienna, looks like such a beautiful place :)

Can't believe its only four days til you go, so excited for you :yay:

Hey Guys :wave2: How are we all doing?

Sorry I've been AWOL again, been pretty busy this week. Wanted to update you last night, but I had a training session at the gym and the trainer kicked my @s$ I tell you! Suffice to say I was cream crackered by the time I got home :faint:

But I will update you later on after work as got some goods stuff to show and tell.

Stay tuned :goodvibes

Looking forward to your next update.

Although not a Stitch fan as you know, I LOVE the gift that Karin sent to you (isn't she the sweetest?).
