Doin it in Style @ The Poly! September 2010 Here we Come!!!

Oh now you're talking!! WS is my fav!

Can not BELIEVE you've never ridden the boat rides OR even knew there was a marketplace inside Mexico! That's my absolute favorite pavilion!

I noticed there was no mention of drinky-drinks... :confused3

I really hate to burst your bubble....but I'm pretty sure they stopped selling that yard of ale about a year or two ago...

I could be wrong but I feel like I remember reading about it and I can't remember seeing anyone with it the past few trips. :confused3 Definitely look into that!

This sounds like a fabulous day! I'm a wee bit jealous. I'm also amazed you didn't know about the indoor marketplace in Mexico. It's an excellent place to hit on a hot day!

I am very sad now :sad1: Must investigate!

I didnt know any of the extra stuff existed, when I first went to Epcot I just assumed there were buildings but they were for presentation and food, I had no idea they had markets and back areas etc. In a way its quite cool because for a 3rd trip we still have loads to see and do :)

Hi guys!

Epcot.. World Showcase.. and F&W... perfect day! :cloud9:

Hmm .. for breakfast - World Showcase won't be opening til 11am so it might be too late for breakfast?! .. DF & I got a cookie & a coffee from Sunshine Seasons (Land Pavillion)when we did our 'eat around the World' day.. and afterwards wished we hadn't because there was soo much to try at F&W!

The bakery in France would be a good place for breakfast though.. or the Norway Bakeri :thumbsup2

Looking at the R&C pub menu, it does look like the Yard of Ale has been discontinued.. sorry Dave! :sad2: - I think I read that they stopped selling it so that they didn't encourage excessive drinking.. (binge drinking.. in the UK?! never :rotfl: )

Happy Friday!

Emma princess: x

That sucks, I wanted the keepsake glass more than the beer lol. I know it was sold from the Germany Pavilion but did not know R&C also sold it. Oh well, I will have to find something else to look forward to during F&W :)

I'm going to see Scott Pilgrim today :D Stef has gone to try on wedding dresses and other girly bridal type things today. What's everyone else doing this weekend?

Love your Epcot day. :goodvibes We've never been to Teppen Edo but were there when it had a different name. We've also never been during the FW festival, which sounds like a lot of fun. :goodvibes

Teppan is good, looking forward to eating there this year :teeth:

:scared1::scared1::scared1: You have never been to Food & Wine?! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Ok you now need to rearrange your trip next year to coincide with F&W :D It is awesome!

I second that!

Stefy, your Epcot Day sounds wonderful. We have never done F&W either.

(:

Thanx :) Can't believe you haven't been to F&W, we must rectify that if we meet up next year :teeth:

There will be plenty of drinking as we want to eat and drink from every cart

I forgot that it would be late by the time WS opens. Maybe we will catch a quick bite from Captain Cooks instead and then snack away in WS :teeth:

Sorry about your yard of ale baby. We will find you something else instead thats even more better :goodvibes

Hey All

How are we doing? Good weekends so far?

I have been going through my phone updating and what not and decided to upload some pics from our Italy trip that I didn't post with the others.

Love this one as we were getting sprayed by the water on the boat and Dave's facial expressions were just priceless :rotfl:

Great pics, Stefy. I especially like the one of Dave getting sprayed. ;)
I've never taken a picture while we were flying on the plane...that is something I think I will do this year -- maybe it will keep my mind off the fact that I HATE flying.

So... :teeth: Yesterday was a very productive day.

I went wedding dress shopping and had so much fun, but the most important part was...

I got a wedding dress!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

It is sooooo beautiful and I already want to go back and try it on :cloud9: I am sooo pleased that I got it, thats one major part out of the way now, just need to get Dave's suit, think of what flowers we want and think of a hairstyle and accessories for moi :teeth:

After dress shopping I surprised my mum with Afternoon Tea at Fortnum and Mason. It was very nice and decandant. Food was delicious and I also snagged some yummy dessert wine that we tried in Italy and some naughty macaroons :teeth:

If I look a little weird/moody its because my mum isn't very tech savvy (bless her) and she was taking FOR.EVER! to take the pics

But overall a very nice experience and she was very surprised at it all, as she is usually used to Afternoon Tea at the Ritz every year which I get for her and my aunt for Mothers Day.

:yay::yay::yay::yay: that you found your wedding dress. That is so exciting. And how nice of you to take your mom to Afternoon Tea; love the photos.

Congrats on getting a dress!! That's so awesome! Everything is falling into place!

Do you have any pics?

Last weekend update I promise, then I'll get to the good stuff...Disney Days :teeth:

When I got back Dave was out with his dad and brother (as he posted) for the day with lunch at his grans and Scott Pilgrim at the cinema.

I was so jazzed about the dress still that I rang my friend all excited and invited myself round to hers to show her pics of the dress. I ended up staying there all afternoon as another friend was also there for the day and we ended up chatting away and he made a traditional Indian home cooked meal for us all, for which Dave turned up for right on time  It was soooo delicious and the evening was soooo much fun :)

Here is Chef Adeel and Ben cooking away
061-1.jpg

Starters was roasted chicken breast/legs marinated in a paprika type curry sauce with a delish salad of the usual cucumber, tomato etc AND apples and pears which is also a traditional Indian style salad.

Pictures not great, but this was the curry. Chicken with onions, peppers, coriander etc

From Left to Right we have...Ben, Dave, Paula and Adeel

All in all a very enjoyable night and day :)

Dinner sounds delish! It looks like you had a great day yesterday.

First finding your dress,
Next tea with your mum,
and finally a nice dinner with friends!

:thumbsup2

Tea looks like it was fun. I've always wanted to experience something like that.

Woo Hoo for the dress!:banana::banana:

When you do make it to London I will organise something for us girls, I can't imagine Joe being up for it :)

:yay::yay::yay::yay: that you found your wedding dress. That is so exciting. And how nice of you to take your mom to Afternoon Tea; love the photos.

Thanx :) Tea was fun, never been to Fortnum and Mason, but its really nice and posh in there. They have a traditional sweet shop style counter with all the sweets in old style jars etc, so cute.

Congrats on getting a dress!! That's so awesome! Everything is falling into place!

Do you have any pics?

Thanx :) Everything is indeed falling into place, can't wait for this to come to fruitition :teeth:

I do have pics, but sadly cannot post because of a certain someone but I can email you one if you like. Just PM me your addy :)

Now the question is, do I start a PJ :scratchin
