hey, i was just wondering if u have ever seen a dog or any pet at disney???
can u bring a pet in the parks??? if u have ever seen a pet in the parks please tell me & post a pic if u have one. thanks melanie.

Hi,

Service animals are allowed in to the park, however if your pet is not equipted to wear the vest they can go to the kennel right out side the park, I am not sure how this works at WDW but at DLR the kennel is right by the disneyland gate and you need to have proof of current shots and you can put your puppy or kitty or just about any critter up for the day. you can come visit them anytime and they even have a fire hydren in the grass for when they need to potty. I belive you can have your dog on a leash at down town disney to and from the kennel but for safty reasons security prefers that you cary them. I often see people with there dogs sitting and eating snacks at the outside tables and outside eating areas at down town. My hubby would often bring my puppy with him on days he dropped me off at work and needed to pick me up, and she has even joined us for a few drinks at the outside Lost Bar at the hotel.
But what ever you do dont leave your puppy in the car while you spend the day at disneyland, I know some of you are going OMG no one would do that but they do.. and not only is bad for the puppy but you will be sorry you didnt spring for the kennel rate if security or APD get invloved.

A couple of years ago our puppy stayed at the kennel just outside the Animal Kingdom turnstiles. Characters, including Pluto, were hanging out in the area just outside the park, so we were able to get a pictures of our puppy with Pluto!

My sister had her 2 dogs at the MK kennels when she stayed there a couple years ago. She would get them at night since they were camping at Ft Wilderness, otherwise they wouldve stayed in the kennel for the other resorts. She would go and walk them a couple times during the day. There are 2 kennels I think at WDW, by AK as Grillmouster said and then outside the transportation center near MK. My sister was happy with the care they got. Have only seen service animals allowed in (dogs and a miniture horse once)

Only service animals are allowed. Each of the 4 parks have a kennel, and Ft. Wildernes has a kennel. You are expected to return and walk your pets during the day.

My nephew brought a service dog with him a few years ago. He didn't have any problems. In fact, they let him line jump, which was a nice treat.

when i was in disneyland paris earlier this year we saw loads of dogs plent of little german shepard puppies they were so cute but there not aloud in the parks they have disney kennels

thanks all, but i wana see pics of petz at disney. a pic of goofy & a dog would be good. thankz melanie.

Pets in the park would be a real nightmare, IMHO; the place is a zoo (no pun intended) just with the humans, strollers, wheelchairs, and ECVs running around. It would probably be extremely stressful for the pet, too. And can you imagine trying to take a dog onto a ride, or barking during a stage show, or if they decide to "befriend" the fire hydrants - or other things??? Yikes!

That being said, at Disneyland you can sometimes see a cat wander in the backstage area. :)
