mudman: Thanks for your help...interesting about the snow...definitely have to remember that in the winter with our New England weather and snow drifts...especially in the areas of our underground utilities. The system we are considering comes with an indoor pod...my DH's boss loves his. We'll give it a try and if it works well we may need another...did you get a good deal on ebay? Many of the trainers around here also recommend IG fences...my vet said she loves hers too.

"but I'd rather have the IF and know if my dogs get out of the house by accident they're most likely not going anywhere, than to not have anything and take my chances."...my thoughts exactly in getting the fence!! And, the whole family begins training this w/e...
pednurse: so sorry to hear you had to go through that...aggressive dogs are definitely scary...been through that too in my neighborhood with and without inv. fences and with them coming right up to my fanny. I love dogs, but if they are aggressive..you never know and you don't want to take that chance with kids!!

rottiemom: thanks for the fetch game info! funny, after talking to our trainer (we all start class this w/e!) I will be off to the pet store for a "scrumptious" treat for her training...sounds similar to a hickory farms type sausage, only for dogs. Great idea to make the treats totally yummy so she's wants to listen.
