Hey All!! Quick question.....is it appropriate to request meal leftovers to take with you while in DW? TS of course! And not buffets....whole other discussion on that! But I was wondering if it was normal in DW or frowned upon to take your leftovers with you? Any thoughts? :confused3

I don't care what other people think about us taking leftovers back to our rooms. We paid for it, why not. Now, I will say that in almost all cases the leftovers never get eaten anyway, but nonetheless we have them boxed up and we cart them to our room.

I don't think it is frowned upon, but I certainly wouldn't want to lug a doggy bag around an amusement park with me. Especially in the summer, the food would not keep safely. If we are at our own resort, we sometimes will take leftovers and put them directly into the fridge, but never carry stuff around in the parks.

They are more than happy to give you a container to take your food with you. I agree with Chuck, unless you areheading back to a room with a refrigerator or are planning on munching the food soon, I would leave it.

I was just reading a thread about taking desserts back to the room or having while you are waiting for a parade or fireworks. LOL in fact one person even admitted eating leftover dessert for breakfast.

I think this is a good idea!

Sure, since we live here, we take our leftovers every time. They definitely don't look down on it, just think of the restaurants at Disney as any other restaurant back home. :)

Thanks everyone!! And yes Chuck, I hear you!! :thumbsup2

Actually, we are on the DP and all of our TS meals are after 7:00. After dinner, we plan to go back to our resort, which does have a fridge! I too think it would be crazy (and un-sanitary!!) to carry left overs through the park all day, to consume them later!! Yuck!!! But, a midnight snack or a little cold steak for breakfast....yummy!! :sunny:

I've taken a doggy bag before a couple of times and think it's ok to do.
