We're doing the dining plan this year and we were wondering if you are allowed to take left over food with you from table service restaurants? From past experiences, we know that we will not be able to eat 2 complete desserts. We usually just share one. If we order the 2 desserts and decide to eat just 1, will they give us a carryout box or doggy bag so that we can take it with us? That would be a great late night snack back at the hotel. I don't see why they would not, but just want to be sure.

P.S. If you're using the dining plan and opt to skip or not order the dessert or appetizer, you will lose out on it, right?

I see no reason why you could not get a to go box, if nothing else, take one bite and ask for one. :) No carry out of course at buffets. :thumbsup2

Yes if you skip something you lose out on it. No refund.

Yes you can get a doggy bag, we did this last year at the non-buffet adr's.

I am also under the impression that you would lose out on a desert/appt if you would choose not to order one since the meals are done with credits. One credit would be whatever you could get with that one meal. Someone please let me know if I am wrong on this.

You are correct, you have to order it at that meal or lose it.
