Dog lovers

My baby girl is an 11 yr. old beagle, who is the sweetest dog I've ever had. DH wants to come back in his next life as "my dog". :rotfl:

I have 2 furbabies-CoCo Chanel a 7 y.o. chocolate lab(the sweetest and kindest and dearest pet ever) and Clover a 2 y.o. field spaniel. She is liver colored with a bit of white on her chest. She is a rare dog-there are not many of them in the U.S. and I was on a waiting list for a long time before I got her. She is beautiful and she knows it. She really is a nice girl but she is slow to warm up. She is much friendlier when she meets you the second time and by the third time all she wants to do is sit in your lap and snuggle with you. They both are big swimmers and think our summer home on a lake is just for them. Clover has actually caught fish-it's quite a sight! They frequently have dog friends over for swimming and it is chaos!!!!

We have 2 dogs. Jackson is a sheltie, my beautiful angel dog. He is so gentle. Barq's is our other dog. He is 9 months old. We got him from a shelter right after Hurrican Katrina. He is a mix breed, we think he is part rat terrier and part sheltie. He is my sweet baby boy.

p.s. When someone asks what kind of dog Barq's is, my dd (12) says he is a BFM, "Beloved Family Mutt"

We have a Pit mix and a lab mix, and a cat that thinks she is a dog. We like to say our Pit mix is a Methodist b/c we rescued her one day at our church.

We adopted our baby from the Cocker Spaniel Rescue about 8 yrs ago. She's 11 this month - our little B - Bonnie - buff cocker spaniel.

We have talked about getting a 2nd dog, rescue of course, but she is our little Queen-B and she has a lot of medical things going on that are expensive. She is now blind, she had cherry eye when she was first adopted and had cherry eye surgery on both eyes twice and she doesn't produce tears and so she is on cyclosporine and eye lubricant twice a day, she is on thyroid medicine and a few years ago we had to pay for an emergency gall bladder surgery (not that there is an ongoing cost with that.)

As much as I want to get a companion for her, I don't want to take away from her golden years with us, she deserves all of her attention. I am so torn! I think we might end up with a fish instead of a second dog.... :confused3

we have a 7 year old cocker-poo, Alyssa....she's a real sweetheart

Your Alyssa is soooo cute! She looks just like my Charlie did...he was also a cocker-poo.....I lost him last week :sad1: He was 16 1/2!! He was such a good dog, so sweet....not the smartest dog ever but sweet!

Now we just have our 2 girls left, they are both rotties.....Savannah is 10 yrs old and Shawnee is 6 yrs old. They are such loving dogs and smart!

We have 2. Lady is a 14 year old yellow lab / shepard cross. She's just starting to show her age a bit. Jack is a 5 month old 85lb Newfie, and is an incredible ball of energy. Someday I need to get a picture of them to put online.

Both of our dogs are rescues from a shelter. One is a black lab mix. I'm guessing since her picture is listed in the dictionary under HYPER that there may be some beagle in that mix!! Our other dog is also black; a Belgian shepherd. The people at the shelter told us that black dogs are the hardest to place so that's why we picked them.

Four long-hair dachsunds--Frankie, Sammy, Joey and Max!!
Had dachsunds in my family ever since I was 10 years old (1955). That's a half-century of misery and woe--

Just kidding of course. I love those little guys!!!!

2 mutts - shelters dogs 1 is a Chihuahua mix (vet says she may be full) the other is a Corgi mix. We have no children so they are our kids. We are one of those "over the top" owners too. Their sitter knows it and she deals with our neurotic behavior.

I have a Saluki........it's the second one I have owned. Had greyhounds in the past and to me they are the perfect breed! No more dogs after this one though.

Lhasa-Apso, Terrier Mix, champagne with chocolate tips. She died Wednesday . . . . she was 19 years old. I miss her terribly!! :sad2:

A red and white cocker spaniel, Tara. She's 12 1/2 already :guilty:

She's little for a cocker, too. Only 12 1/2" tall and 25 lbs. Our previous cocker was a LOT larger!
I would love to see a picture! My cocker spaniel who is black is about the same size :) :thumbsup2 Does yours have ear problems?

An eight year old black standard Poodle named Winslow. My other standard Poodle Sebastian went to dog heaven at the age of 14 in March.
Aww sorry to hear this. I have never owned a standars poodle and don't see them very often. They always look like such cool dogs! Any pictures to share?

We have 2 cocker spaniels: Brandi - 11 and Pebbles - 4.
Oh my gosh! My old cocker spaniels name was Pebbles :thumbsup2
She was a buff color. Aren't they just the cutest?! :teeth:

It's in my sig...

An icelandic sheepdog. Awesome dogs.

We have an 18 month old chi/weenie as his paperwork states. He is chihuahua/Dauchsaund (I know I probably spelled both wrong, now you know why he is a chi/weenie :) ).

We have a 8 yo Hound mix who is a gentle sweetheart....unless we're not home. You can come into the yard and she will lick you to death, touch the door knob, and you'll leave with a bloody nub.
And her boss is our Mini Dachshund who has no idea that 1. she is only 6 pounds and 2. she is not a human.
I never had kids so I'm another "Over the top" dog mama too. :teeth:
