Speaking on behalf of the non-dog lovers...

PLEASE don't assume that because YOU love being licked by your dog, people like me minding my own business in the park, at the bus stop, or walking down the street will also LOVE being licked by your dog. Or having your dog jump up on me "to say hello". Or rub his nose all over my pants to sniff me. UGH!

If you are walking your dog near a stranger, please reel the leash in so that you can actually control the dog and prevent him/her from jumping up on people. It's not cute...it's rude and annoying.

We all needed a lecture about keeping friendly dogs away from people because OBVIOUSLY everyone here just lets their slobbery, tongue-hanging-out licky dogs glom all over every stranger b/c, golly gee, the dog has a heckuva lot of love for everyone! Only someone of less than average intelligence, a complete slob, or someone with a massive passive-agressive streak would do something tlike what you describe anyway.

This is disgusting, but I have a Boston Terrier that every once in awhile decides it is time for kisses and basically pins me down and goes crazy licking my face. I get the giggles when he does this, my DH eventually yells at the dog because he is so disgusted by this. Don't really like the other dogs licking me, but for some reason this one dog cracks me up.

I taught Murhpy our 15 month old boxer to give kisses, he always kisses me on the chin, I dont like the mouth and I dont like him kissing me after he has been licking certain areas...

I don't just like doggy kisses, I insist on it. No seriously. If one of my friends has a dog I will refuse to acknowledge it until it licks me (although I keep my lips away from the tongue as much as I can). Why? It's a sign of submission and as much as I just love dogs, I do insist that they be submissive to me. My close friends have a dog who loves to great people at the door. Now, she jumps on everyone who comes in except me. She waits until I call her over, sits, waits for me to bend down, and then greats me as she would an alpha dog.

Mind you, this would never work with Brisco the devil dog. He's a bomb sniffer and, yes, he would happily take my face off if ever given the chance. Ever seen a dog you truly knew was crazy?

Since my puppy has issues as to what is food and what is poop...no, not from her just yet..no thanks..

I will get my other dog to kiss me, he doesn't even lick himself..if you know what I mean.

I like a couple of kisses, then I am done..pretty much the same way with humans, too.

We like doggy kisses in moderation. My Katy is great. She likes to give just a few licks and then lays her neck on our face so we can nuzzle her neck. Then my Kinsey tries to lick everything in sight but her aim is off so she justs licks air around our face.

They both like to lick the inside of my ears. Feels like a wet willie. I don't mind as long as they do both sides. I had an old dog named Chase that loved to lick your face and you had to be careful or she'd get overzealous and clean your sinuses.

I have 2 dogs and I love my Andy kisses but I do not want Paris Hairless Hilton to kiss me. My husband will not allow either to kiss him.

I love doggy kisses! My dog likes to wake me up by sitting on my hair and holding my hair down with his paws (so I can't move) and giving me lots of doggy kisses! He goes crazy and it just makes me laugh. I just have to make sure I don't open my mouth, or else.....
