We plan on going to Universal and Disney in July. I will be coming from vacationing on Panama City Beach. My dog always goes with me to our condo. I could leave her at home but two weeks + in a kennel is too much for a 10 year old Yorkie who has never been away from us for longer than a week. Also she has to have two insulin injections a day for diabetes.

So far the only kennel that I have found, in Orlando, that will give her shots is Airport Pets which is 22.5 miles from Disney. Has anyone left their pets there. I would love to know if it is clean. It is owner by the same people that own Preppy Pets (which seems to be very nice). I would leave her there but they do not give injections. I ask at Preppy Pet if Airport Pets was as clean and she said it depends on who is working. Leaves me wondering...I need help!!!

I don't have any specific recommendations, but I would look into veterinarians in the area that provide boarding. I know my local vet that I use provides boarding services and they will provide medical services such as injections if required (for an additional fee).

I hope you are able to find a place to board your friend!

I agree with the previous poster. My old yorkie used to need insulin as well and when ever we went away, we boarded him at the vet. He loved it there and they loved taking care of him too!
