Dog Friendly

Are any of the hotels in the DTD area dog friendly. My husband wants me to cancel our Disney package to find a hotel that would allow our Bichon Frise. If we can not find a nice place then he still wants me to cancel and book Bonnet Creek because we had so much fun there last year. I want to keep the Disney Resort package but I am not going to push it because he did tell me no Disney vacation this year. He is the worker in the family and I stay at home for now so I feel obligated to give him what he wants.

love CWR - celebration world resort - it is not on Disney property - but it isn't too far away - like 5 to 7 minutes to AK - the other parks are further.

on the homes make sure they are still pet friendly - and the hotels for that matter - it can change - before you make the reservation.

FYI the info in the sticky is outdated and has dead links and links to non-pet friendly locations. I PM'ed the OP, but it hasn't been updated yet. Someone should really do something about it.

Here are the closest pet-friendly places I could find (none actually in Downtown Disney).

I know there is a hotel in there that is dog friendly, I can't remember the name though. Check out www.dogfriendly.com, that's where I would have found it.

The Country Inn and Suites Calypso Cay is pet friendly. (Althoug with that swim pool/park area at Calypso Cay I WOULD love to stay here!!!)

Many of the hotels in the choice hotel chain are pet friendly (it will be listed under hotel amenities. Or under hotel features you can select pet friendly.)

The Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista is pet friendly. Holiday Inn Sun Spree in LBV. Holiday Inn Mangate Unversal. Holiday Inn I Drive. (again you can pick pet friendly under amenities on their search page)

Bonnett Creek and The waldorf Astoria Spa Orlando are pet friendly.

Some vrbo rental homes are pet friendly.

okay she is talking about a Hilton bonnet creek that is not yet open. It will be very expensive.

the Wynham Bonnett creek that is open is NOT pet friendly

It seems like I asked them when we stayed there last September and they said no. Many of the other places suggested I don't care to stay at it. If we can not find something extremely comparable to Bonnet Creek then Lulu will just stay with my MIL.
