DH and I will be passing through Nashville in a few weeks with our three small dogs on a road trip. We're looking for a dog-friendly hotel that will allow us to stay with our 3 dogs (all under 25 lbs.), and will also have safe parking because we'll have a bunch of suitcases we need to leave in our car during our overnight stay.

I was looking at the Loews Vanderbilt just because I know they cater to people bringing their dogs, but it looks like their policy is to only allow two dogs per room. Plus, a room there (with tax) is about $425 for the night (with the $25 dog fee). I have found some other dog-friendly hotels, but the fees drive up the cost of the room so much that it is getting cost-prohibitive. Since I don't know Nashville, I don't really know which areas are safe, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

See if there is a Homewood Suites by Hilton. That's where we usually stay with our three dogs. There is usually a $75 pet fee though. (Per room, not per pet)

If you just need a room for the night, I would try the LaQuinta off of Briley Pkwy. I think the actual address is Atrium Way. It's in a pretty safe part of town. It's definitely no frills, but it's always clean and the staff is friendly. I stay there pretty often when I have to go to Vanderbilt for appointments. The hotels closer to Vanderbilt tend to be pretty pricey and sell out quickly. There's also no pet fee at LaQuinta. I think their policy may be two pets per room though...not 100% sure. While I've never had any safety issues there...I'm not sure there's ANY place in Nashville I should be comfortable leaving suitcases in a car overnight if they're visible. I'd be tempted to stay somewhere further out like Franklin or Murfeesboro.

Thanks for the tips. We just found a place a little outside of Nashville that should be safe and will allow all three dogs for no additional fee.
