I haven't, sorry, no personal experience with that. Others have indicated they got a little freaked out over the amount of fish that come when you do it. Others love it.

There are some fish foods and some fruit such as bananas that are great to have underwater. Dog food usually creates a foggy mess because the moment you open the zippie bag or whatever you carry it in, it starts becoming a soggy mess that floats in the water.

If you are referring to regret related to regretting attracting the wrong swarm of fish, no, not in my experience; however, I've always been with a group that was familiar with they types of fish we were trying to attract and planned accordingly.

If you are asking if fish bite, the answer is yes. And even little ones can leave a mark. I have seen (and heard) people who were feeding them get bitten and bloody.

Feeding fish is really bad for the health of the fish, and there is truly no need to introduce food into the water to attract them.

Try picking up an empty shell on the bottom and shaking it. What comes off doesn't look like food to us, but the fish will come right over to investigate. The other thing that calls them is rhythmic tapping of 2 hard objects. I tap a rock on the dry box/key holder around my neck. Works every time. We even got Barry the Barracuda to come over and check it out. :teeth:

Who needs dog food, The last time I snorkeled I just blew some chunks and the :fish: came aplenty!!!! My husband was :rotfl2:
