Doesn't time fly.....

Well, no it doesn't really. It's been 13 long months since I booked our trip, but here we are a few hours from leaving for the airport.

In a lot of ways I never thought this day would come. Many things have conspired to try and stop this trip happening, but I won't bore you with the details . Well go on, I'll share a few:

Central heating broke - new one required
Car needed new brakes ansd tyres - big money
DW had to have tonsils out so couldn't work for 3 months, as she's a singer - loss of big money

Suffice to stay we have lurched from one disaster to the next throughtout the last year. However, we have survived, and I couldn't be happier

But here we are, bags packed, dollars in pocket, smile on face. I'm watching the clock move slowly towards 5.30.

The kids aren't excited, they are manic, and both need removing from the ceiling. DW is totally stressed from packing, depositing animals at kennel and dealing with kids.

Ah the joys......

So, see you in 2 weeks. Let's hope they are long ones.

Thanks for all your help over the last year, and for putting up with my silly questions and random drivel.
