AFter years of going to Disney, we were going to purchase the DDP for our trip next summer only to find out that it no longer includes the tip. For us a family of 6 that will be an extra $36 a day at least looking at the menu prices. Now I'm not sure if the plan will be a savings for us or not.

We have always enjoyed the DDP when is was free, but would have purchased it if it wasn't free. Looking at the changes, there is no way it would be a value for our family.

DH and I have had free dining twice. We loved it and were planning a 10 day trip next year. We planned to pay for the DDP but with the changes they've made we have changed our minds. At this point, we will still go to WDW but we may stay offsite. We can save a lot of money and will just pay OOP for the Disney meals we want. Taking away the appetizer AND the tip should have lowered the price by more than one dollar. And at a signature restaurant you have to 'spend' two TS credits and the appetizer is still not included!
