When I was a kid, all I wanted was a big wheel but never got one. My dh had one and LOVED it. We want to buy our DS a big wheel but can't seem to find one anywhere - everything is motorized now which just seems crazy to me for a 2 year old. Anyone know where I could buy a new one?

We have one that we got at TRU. I will say though that they are too big for a 2 year old. Our kids are off the charts for height and they couldn't reach the pedals even on the lowest setting.

DS5 had a Big Wheel type......got it at ToysRUs. It looked more like a motorcycle and had motorcycle sounds but it was shaped and worked just like a Big Wheel.

I hear ya about the motorized stuff. DS LOVES big vehicles to push around and complains that all the cool looking trucks and cars are motorized. You can't push them and to him, that's where the fun is....pushing it around and using his imagination.

Try Target. We got one here for our youngest a couple of years ago and I have seen them there since.

There is also the Rock Ride and Roll trike that is sort of like a big wheel. My DD is 2.5 and can ride it without a problem.

We've had the same problems finding a big wheel also. He LOVES that motorcycle one someone posted about above that his cousin has - but we haven't been able to find one.

Yes-Target has the actual authentic Big Wheel of our days!!! We got my son one this time last year...everything is pretty much the same design with the exception of the missing handbrake...And he LOVES it!!! Good luck!

We also have the Radio Flyer one. DS got it for Christmas when he was almost 4. He is above-average height but still had some trouble with the pedals -- he could go straight but when he tried to turn one foot wouldn't reach the far pedal. He is now 5 and it is his favorite riding toy -- loves to stop quick and spin out on the street.

We got ours from Sam's Club -- online site was way cheaper than TRU etc.

Oh, my goodness, I LOVED my Big Wheel! I spent so many days riding up and down the sidewalk on that thing. Hope you find one!

I have gotten two from Target and they were around $25. It had to be put together, which is not too difficult. Both of my boys love to ride their Big Wheel, they have alot of fun with it.

Target had some this morning. We have the radio flyer flip trike that goes from the tricycle to the big wheel. My son was 4 when we got it. No issues reaching the pedals. Before that we had a smaller one from walmart. Got it right after he turned a year old.

Little Tykes Classic Tough Trike..perfect for a little kid.
