Does your significant other have any strange habits?

I KNOW! If we weren't married to them and they weren't so good to us, we wouldn't be able to stand them. :rotfl:

I guess I should share my strangest habit. Hmm, let's see, well, ummm, I can't think of any so I must be perfect! :smooth:

My daughter has something she wants to say:

My mom says she doesnt have any bad quirks, but she does. She will not let buttons get near her. She gets grossed out and any outfit with the littlest button she will not put on the twins or let me wear it. She returns all outfits that have just one button. It is very wierd and i dont know anyone else like that. I dont think anybody knows anyone like that either. It annoys me very bad and i dont know why.

While we are sleep, DH has a tendency to put his finger in my mouth (and you ask, what does HE dream about?) :rolleyes1 . He says that he did it ever since he was a baby.....but for goodness sakes, YOUR NOT A BABY ANYMORE! It grosses me out more than you know....and he gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom?!?!!?!?!??!?!?!? You know where I'm going with this :scared: :faint:  :crazy2:

I usually just bite it :teeth:

You all have me hysterically laughing :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I thought that I was the only woman crazy enough to put up with this stuff!

My husband....."pass gas" then looks at me and says...."it's your fault, you do the cooking!" AND he thinks it's FUNNY!!!

oh by the way...he's a Ph.D scientist as well.....must be a class they take in school "How to be an Annoying yet Lovable Husband"

I feel so NORMAL now!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Dear Friends,

This chain letter was started in hopes of bringing relief to other tired and discouraged women. Unlike most chain letters, this one does not cost anything.

Just send a copy of this letter to five of your female friends who are equally tired and discontented. Then bundle up the man in your life, send him to the woman whose name appears at the top of the following list, and then add your name to the bottom of the list.

When your turn comes, you will receive 15,625 men. One of them is bound to be better than the one you already have. At the writing of this letter, a friend of mine had already received 184 men, of whom one may be well worth keeping. An unmarried woman living with her widowed mother was able to choose between a Chippendale dancer and an Olympic swimmer.

You can be lucky, too, but DO NOT BREAK THE CHAIN! One woman broke the chain and got her own husband back!

So let's keep it going, ladies! Just add your name and address to the list below:

Laura Bush
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C

Husband could give Mr. Clean a run for his title. He is a neatnick, everything in his closet hangs perfectly, barely touching each other. Undies and socks in drawer folded just perfect. But I won't complain because he does the laundry,I just don't do it correctly,I know how sad.

Wow. that's pretty bad, can he do my laundry too

Well, I guess I should have clarified.....DH will wash and dry the laundry, then throw it on the back of the chair in the bedroom till I either put it up, or it is worn. He does do dishes though! Just not countertops, or tables or anything else that needs washing. Ok, he will fill a dishwasher like a madman!

OMG Yes I do know someone like that! One of my friends from college is a COSTUME DESIGNER who is terrified of buttons. Once a friend of ours made her close her eyes and she put a button in her hand... she was so terrified she couldn't put it down, just stood there crying. It's really bizarre!

Funny you say that, and it's the first time I've heard of anyone else with an aversion to buttons. I don't like them, either... don't know why, can't explain it. Just don't.

My DH? Quirks? Probably, but we've been together so long, I just don't notice them anymore. He's not obsessive or compulsive about anything, and he eats most anything.
BUT... He does also kill things and hang their heads on the wall; he will leave small amounts of food in the package and put it back in the cabinet/fridge (just finish it, already!!!) and of course, he knows everything.
And when our DD was young (small child) he used to do things to her that he thought were funny - things that would antagonize her into crying or getting mad, then would get mad at her for crying or getting mad at him! Just don't get it??!!

The one that drives my DD wild: He is a former teacher, and knows something about everything, so he "lectures" her, using what I call teacher voice. If he feels her attention is not completely focused on him, he will stop talking and just look at her intently. After three or four lectures the other night, he stopped, and looked at her. She turned to me and said "Well, I've found the pause button; let's see if I can find the fast forward".

That is VERY cute! You really should send that one into Reader's Digest!

He worries more than a woman. If it can be worried about, you bet your sweet bippy that my dbf will worry about it. Other than that, I can't really think of anything. But then again, we don't live together yet. :lmao:

I can think of two things, actually, one of which he has stopped doing, and one that is ongoing:

Ongoing: he is A Slurper. He slurps his coffee, worse, he slurps his cereal. I ask him, "MUST you do that?" and he always tells me, "Yes, it makes it taste better!"

Cured when we moved to our new house and I threatened his life if he didn't break this habit: Every article of dirty clothing would make it into the clothes hamper inside our closet EXCEPT his socks. I always found his socks lying limply just outside the door. When asked about this he always told me, "They were tired and that's as far as they could make it."
