Does your dog

stand at the door and sniff the air before deciding to go out? My dingy dog will. She wants to go out, but not before standing there with the door open sniffing the air. Somedays I have to sort of push her out to get her to move.

Our dog BJ will scratch at the door to go out and when we open it for him he sticks his head out looks one way then the other and then will either back back into the house or run out of the house like he was shot from a cannon.
