Does your DH/DW/SO ever cook?

Yup, Otto does a lot of our cooking.

On rare occasions he will grill chicken, steaks, or burgers. Sometimes, he will even boil eggs. That is it. However, there are many nights that I don't feel like cooking so he will pick up take out or we will go out to eat. He has made an attempt to cook other things, let's just say it didn't work out.

I would love to have someone cook for me from time to time.

My boyfriend loves to cook! luckily for me!
He made me pancakes and bacon this sunday and he cooks for me all the time.

We share the cooking responsibilities. If I get home late, he fixes dinner, or the other way around.

And if we're home together, we cook together. Always.

DH will cook for one of two reasons:
1. We're grilling out
2. I'm not home (which doesn't happen at dinnertime all that often). Then he makes spaghetti or grills out. Last year I was gone for the weekend in the winter, so no grilling. They had spaghetti both nights!

Yes! DH does all the grilling! He surprises me with homemade cookies from time to time, too! He's a keeper!

My DH would live on popcorn if he had to cook every night!!! He will grill once in awhile.

My oldest DS (23), tho, LOVES to cook.

Mine is an expert at indoor/outdoor grilling & does all roasts and gravy (my downfall!).

I also check all seasonings (marinades, sauces, dressings, etc.) with him. My MIL was a *excellent* cook and he's usually right-on with his suggestions for an extra shot of basil, vinegar, sherry, whatever.

DW and I both cook, but mostly for ourselves. Our schedules don't permit us to dine together often. I think we are both good cooks. Funny thing is, we have twin DDs(now 21) one of whom is quite the cook, the other can scarcely grill a cheese sandwich without ruining it

DH is a SAHD and is a terrible cook. He's a typical guy who will eat anything (including 2 week old leftovers) so he slops together just anything. He doesn't taste as he cooks...he never peeks while things bake. Oh, he's made some terrible meals.

DH makes several things really well.....stews, chili, spaghetti, but really enjoys grilling and using a deep fryer for chicken wings and seafood. Really, really good!

DH never cooks. The kids are thrilled if I have a dinner meeting because it means Burger King! I've tried leaving things for him to serve and if it involves the stove it doesn't happen.

That said, we've divided the labor that way. Dh managed before we got married and could do it again I'm sure. I knew how to change my own oil before we got married too - but haven't done it since. We both "forgot" a lot of things. In fact, I was just looking at a burned out light bulb. I could change it, but I wouldn't want dh to feel like he wasn't needed.....

Sure dh cooks! But the kids will tell ya the pizza man did it! And dh had to have a big new Weber grill when we moved here, I LOVE my new grill! It's ok I like to cook and I LOVE to bake!

DH does about half of the cooking and most of the laundry. I don't mind general cleaning so I usually do that. DH also usually vacuums because our vaccuum is really heavy and it hurts my back after awhile (I have back problems)

DH would be a chef if the hours didn't SUCK!!! His dream job would be cooking at WDW, maybe when we retire...
But until then he does all the cooking AND clean-up!
