does wrapping it help you realize how much you really have?

yup - its down on paper - been tracking the #s (well except for today's additions)
But does actually taking it all out of hiding and wrapping it help you realize how much you actually have? How it will all look/etc?

If you are talking about Christmas presents, absolutely -for me. Last year I started wrapping the week before Christmas. I pulled out the stuff recently purchased, then the stuff left over from last year, then the stuff I bought on sale throughout the year...I was wrapping for days. And this was all for my two boys!! Finally, on the day before Christmas eve, I called Toys for Tots to see if I could give some of the excess to them...But they had already closed. So this year I wised up..I bought NOTHING throughout the year. I bought them one big thing each that is new and current that they begged for. And now I am going to start wrapping in the next few days-all that stuff that has been sitting down in the basement from before. I bet they will STILL have too much!
