Does WDW swipe your ticket so they know you have redeemed your voucher?

How is WDW keeping track of redeemed vouchers? How are they keeping people from redeeming 2 different vouchers in their name?
I volunteered twice and from my understanding I can redeem one voucher.
For example, I have one voucher in my official name and another in my shortened or nick name.
I don't plan to use my 2nd voucher but just curious at what happens at will call window.

My DS is a Jr. of my DH. Although DS uses a nickname I used his given name when registering because that's what's on his birth certificate. I thought I put Sr. for DH and Jr. for DS, but the vouchers only have the (same) first name, no Jr. or Sr.

Knowing this, someone could have made up same-name children and done a project where they don't have to show up in person (make blankets, etc.) and have two or more vouchers with their name. Think of all of George Foreman's children named George -- each voucher would just say George Foreman.

We used our vouchers a few weeks ago and we all had to be there with our photo ID's. The CM checked each and every one of against our vouchers, and in the computer.

Also, when you register with GAD, you give them your personal information so they keep track of that. The terms of the program are that no matter how many projects you complete, you are only entitled to one free pass, and I think the system is pretty well set up to enforce that.

Since you have to give all your personal information I am guessing you can only redeem one voucher, however... I am also thinking that if you have 2 vouchers did the computer not recognize that you are one person?

Yes. They swiped the ticket for the person using the voucher AND the tickets for the rest of us in the party, too. We did this for 4 days with 6 people. 5 of us volunteered so we took fast passes.

My youngest 8yr, couldn't find anything local, so we did project linus blankets which the computer system sign up process required me to also volunteer-couldn't sign up a minor alone.

There are also bar codes on the vouchers. At least on mine there is.

You made me look. There is a bar code on each voucher. That would solve anyone trying to print multiples of one voucher and trying to use it more than once.

I did the same thing for my 7 YO son, but the system recognized right away that I had already volunteered (and it wasn't my intention to try to get 2 anyway, my son just needed an adult as a lead volunteer), and once his event showed completed next to his name, it noted next to mine that I had already volunteered and was only entitled to one voucher. And this was done with 2 separate email accounts. So I'm not sure why it wouldn't have recognized you the 2nd time?
