Does WDW have any Special Discount Offers after Thanksgiving?

I need some help from Disney veterans. My family & I are wanting to plan a trip at the end of November. The week after Thanksgiving. Is there usually any kind of discount offer at that time of year? We got the free dining plan when we went in January. I'm not sure if I should wait to book or if I should just book the hotel room at regular price & buy discount park tickets. I'm needing to budget as much as possible. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

We have traveled the last 3 thanksgivings. There are usually not general public discounts for thanksgiving week. The only possiblity is usually getting FD if you can arrive the Thursday before thankgsgiving, and only some years. Room only offers are always blacked out the wednesday before thanksgiving through the sunday after. Last year we got an email pin code for FD over that time period, but that is luck of the draw.

Last year, we traveled the week after Thanksgiving (leaving the Saturday after Thanksgiving). We stayed at WL and we had a 40% off pin code. I think it was later released to the general public. I do think we had to pay rack rate that first night, but starting that Sunday night we received the discount. If traveling the week of Thanksgiving, I don't think you'll see many discounts, but I could be wrong.

We're wanting to go the week after. Something I read said that is the best week to go in the whole year.

I was speaking with CM at Disney. I asked if any updates to offers would be coming out for end of 2010 (OCT, NOV, DEC). she told me that she not told of any discounts for dinning or room till the offer is out there. The offer currentl out there has been there since May and only goes till Sept. Now with SW having the cheap Air Fair for 72 hours. I had friends going in Nov and all flights got booked. They had to change dates. So if rooms are booking up, I"m thinking no good discounts.

It is a great time to go, Christmas decorations and great weather. But lots of other people have figured it out, so it is not as slow as it used to be. Nothing like those slow January crowds. But we had one of our most magical trips going that week. :goodvibes

The week after Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to go! We went that week 2 years ago and it was by far our best trip ever. Low crowds and perfect weather. The Christmas decorations are great and the kids loved seeing the castle lights.

Hopefully they'll have free dining again that time of year. I don't know about last year, but several years before that they had free dinning. I know it's arguable, but for us it's the best deal we've found for Disney.

It is a great time to go. The decorations make the magical place even more so! Our first family trip was that time, we arrived Sunday after Thanksgiving and were there 5 or 6 days... so nice and slow. Our next Dec trip we did second week of Dec and it was MUCH busier.
