Does WDW allow same sex ceremonies?

Lou Mongello posted a video yesterday of the WDW Wedding Chapel, and after showing this to a few coworkers, one fellow Disney lover had an interesting question that I could not answer (hence the posting here).

Her and her fiancé (both female) are planning their wedding for next fall. My coworker is a huge Disney fan, and trying desperately to "convert" her fiancé into catching the Disney bug. From her research, she stated that Florida does not allow for same sex marriages or unions. She asked me, however, if they perform the actual legal wedding here (Canada), if they could have a ceremonial "wedding" at WDW? After showing them the video, plus photos of the Yacht Club gazebo, she thought they both would be a beautiful setting for their special day.

I am NOT asking this question to stir up the moral/ethical/religious reasoning behind the issue of same sex marriage, I'm just asking on behalf of a coworker and friend if Disney would allow them to do this.

It only shows pictures of heterosexual couples, but they just recently began allowing same sex couples to get married in their parks!

How to be tactful here--fortunately if the OP's friend wishes to get married, she can do so legally in Canada. It would probably be best for her to contact WDW directly at 407-566-7633 or check the website at http://www.disneyweddings.com to find out if a ceremonial event could be held there.
