I see they now have a library where the sales center used to be, but do they have internet access and computers or do I need to bring my own still?

If they have them, what's the cost?

Thanks!

Yes the VB resort does have a business center(2nd floor) with internet access. I think the charge is somewhere around $10-15 per hour. They were remodeling it when we were there on July 7-12 and they were suppose to be done by middle of August. I would call the resort to make sure if it is done.;)

Besides the high fee you have to have an account with AOL, Compuserve, MSN or some major internet provider to have access through the Business Center. That's what I was told back in May.

I believe the units have access but you need a laptop.

Just called the VB resort and there so called "renovation" of the business center is complete.
Here are the changes below........

1.Moved the business center to main lobby floor where the old sales center used to be.

2.1 computer out in the open

3.30 minute time limit

4. no charge

5. dial up service

6.You must have your own account as Margie posted(AOL,MSN,etc)

7. No access to fax or printer........it must be done by MS at the front desk.

IMO this was a step "backwards" for the VB resort..........you are better off bringing a lap top or using the computers at the VB library(10 minutes away)that has 25 PC's and DSL,if you need to have internet access or check e-mail.

ncligs,

You said that the Vero Beach library has a cable modem. Are you sure? Do you know who the provider is?

I'm very curious about this. I didn't think that the cable company in VB provided this yet?

Any information you can provide will be very helpful.

Just checked with the library........they are on DSL. Which is lot better than dial up. :D

ncligs,

You had DH and I all in a "tizzy".

I told him the library in VB had a cable modem and he wouldn't believe it.

He works for Comcast (the cable company in VB, also) and they aren't slated to have HSD in VB until next year. He couldn't figure out what company the library would get a cable modem from.

Maybe the resort will offer the service when VB finally gets it. Maybe the library will offer it, as well.

Thanks for the info.:D

Thanks for the update. The business center was a huge help trip before last. Hate to see this go backwards.
