Does Victoria and Albert's book up quickly? We've decided to try to book it for our trip the first week of June.

If it's already booked, where would you eat instead? Something nice and semi-romantic for just DH and I. DD will stay with the grandparents that night. I'm thinking about California Grill or Citrico's.

Thanks!

If you call now, you ought to be able to get V&A. We've eaten at V&A many times, as well as CA Grill and Citricos. V&A is our favorite by far for a quiet, romantic dinner for two.

Having said that, we recently dined at CA Grill and enjoyed it. We did, however, go late -- after the fireworks were over. To go before the fireworks is to enter a restaurant of such confusion and chaos that it's not worth the bother for us. But, after the fireworks, it was great. The service was top notch and the food delicious. The cheese plate was something to behold. And, the overall atmosphere is less formal than V&A if that appeals.

We've dined at Citricos as well, but it's been a while. The last time we were there, the food was good, but we were next to a family consisting of dad, his kid and trophy wife/stepmom. Kid and stepmom clearly hated each other and, since our table was close to theirs, it made it difficult to enjoy our dinner. I'd go again, but ask for a bigger table with more space around it.

Bottom line -- for a really romantic and fabulous experience, V&A is tops!

If you can't get V&A and try for California Grill another strategy is to go early. We love dinner there before the madness of Wishes. We always request the Wine Room and are lucky enough to often get it. But wherever you are, it is lovely to see darkness descend on the World and lights going on around Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake.

We enjoy Citircos as well but for us it is just not as romantic. But I know other find it to be very romantic so:confused3

Well you should at least book 50 days in advance. I would count on 7 days before going. Try the day you can make reservations.

Our experience has been that IF V&A is booked, it's almost always the first series of seatings. Later seatings are almost always available.
If by some chance you can't get in, then I'd try the early/late California Grill or Citrico's.

Well, I got us a 9pm seating on the day that we wanted! And my formal dress still fits! Just need to get new shoes... :)
