Does using a 40% pin at poly mean a bad room/view?

We used a personal 40 off pin for the poly but requested a specific long house. Just wondering if using a discount puts us at a disadvantage with room location. thanks!

Nope. We used our 40% off pin code this past December for a CL TPV room. Also, at the Poly there really isn't any bad views.

Not at all! Last year we booked WL CL with a 40% off pin and had I believe the best view in the whole lodge. We had a view of the castle and fireworks every night... it was truly magical.

I booked Poly with a 40% off code for May and plan to request a long house as well. I am secretly hoping for a castle view.

Why would using the discount put you at a disadvantage?

You are still an important customer even with the discount. Why??? Because Disney understands that those customers with a discount are likely to spend more more of their money in other areas (food, shows, or souvenirs). Spending your cash on other items and/or events is easier when you can tell yourself I saved 40% on my room.

Just my opinion...

We used our 40% off code at the Poly during Thanksgiving. We were in Nuie for the 1st part of our stay & had a nice garden view (facing the volcano pool.) The last part of our stay was in Tuvalu. You can look at some of my previous posts to see our awesome view in Tuvalu #3414!!!! BEST view anywhere, IMO ;)

I have always used codes, pins or AP rates and other then once have gotten a great location. I do find the moderates are so large that you may be some distance from the main building. I do not think pins or codes effect where your placed.

Do you think when you check in to the resort that they know how much you paid for your room? I booked not through Disney but through AAA but still used a code.. Do the Cm's see that code when they check you in?

I don't think codes have anything to do with where your room is. We have used a 40% code at Poly and CR and had lovely rooms both times. In fact at CR we were family of the day and got an upgrade to a suite.
