Does Universal let you upgrade tickets to a Power Pass after you enter the park?

This is our first trip to Universal and we might want a Power Pass but we won't know until we go there and see. If I buy tickets and once we see it decide to get a Power Pass will they let me upgrade and apply what we already paid to the pass once we have already entered the parks?

Yes, they will let you upgrade your tickets to a Power Pass or a longer ticket. You just need to do it before the end of the day. This January I was even able to upgrade on a blackout day. I just couldn't leave and reenter or park hop after upgrading since my new power pass was no longer valid to get into the park. I'm not sure what the difference is but people seem to have better luck using Guest services in the park instead of outside the park.
