I'm thinking of staying onsite for a few days if at all possible, but we are a larger family. I can only find rooms that sleep 5 on the website, but thought I'd ask here.
Thanks

Other than some of the bigger suites, all standard rooms sleep five with a rollaway ($25) or you can bring an air mattress.

There are bigger suites though?? I couldn't find anything on the website that slept more than 5 at any of the hotels. Should I call, if so which one?

We are going with a group of 8 and have a 2 bedroom Villa suite at the Portofino. King bedroom, 2 queen bedroom and pull-out sofa in living area.

Don't know what they normally go for as ours is an Platinum Loews upgrade but you could call and ask.

There is also a thread here with pictures of a hospitality suite at RPR.

I would just give each of the three hotels a call and see what they have that can fit your family.

We are in the same boat. There are six in my family. As much as it would be wonderful to get a suite that slept us all in one room, it is much more economical for us to get 2 adjoining (or connecting) rooms...The way I calculated it, when we go in value season the APH is about 129 - 139 a room at RPR. I think that it is cheaper to get 2 $129 rooms then pay alot more for a suite. Then we get 2 bathrooms, more room, a little privacy from the kids, etc. Just an alternative to think about. We love it, and are looking forward to our first trip with 2 rooms!

We don't have annual passes (is that what the APH was?) and are only going for 1 or 2 days, is it worth it. I am also considering letting the kids stay at that NIck Hotel but then don't know if we'd Universal just once or what. ARGH!

I'd definitely call the hotel and ask.
We stayed at HRH in a kid suite with 6 people. It had a king size bed in one room with a fold out sofa in the sitting area and then a kid room with a couple of beds and a little table/chairs.
I think most often it probably is cheaper to get two rooms like Michelle2 suggests, but you might be able to catch a special on a kidsuite.
You never know until you ask.
